The most stunning words
Ron and Hermione were sitting together in the Burrow's living room. They all had come, because Mrs Weasley wanted to start making plans for Ginny and Harry's wedding. Ginny was with Mrs Weasley in her room, and Harry was with Mr. Weasley and George in the garden. So Hermione and Ron were all alone in the living room. No one of them spoke. But then, Ron cleared his throat and looked at Hermione. She was looking out of the window.
"Er … I…" Ron started.
Hermione turned around.
"What is it?" she asked.
"I was just thinking." Ron said. "About the wedding … and…"
Hermione looked up, surprised.
"And what?" she said.
"Well, I thought … blimey, I didn't know these things would be so difficult to ask!" he said, extremely nervous. Ron turned to Hermione, put his hands in his pocket and said: "I'm gonna make it short. Will you marry me?"
He pulled a little box out of his right pocket, opened the box and took a beautiful silver ring with a great diamond on it. Hermione looked more surpised than before and her eyes were full of tears.
"Oh Ron! I – Of course I wil!" she said, as Ron grasped her hand and put her on the ring. "The ring is amazing!" she cried out happily. "Oh, Ron, I really, really love you"
"I love you too, Hermione" he replied with tenderness in his eyes and gave her a wonderful and long kiss.
"Those were the most stunning words I have ever heard, Brother." Said a voice near the garden door. "I nearly had to cry." George was standing there, grinning.
Ron and Hermione jumped apart.
"Seems like we've got to plan another wedding, eh?" he said, winking.
"What do you mean another wedding?" asked Mrs Weasley that had come down with Ginny. "Well, mum, Ron and Hermione's wedding." Said George in a festive way.
"What? Really?" cried Mrs Weasley.
"Oh! Congratulations, then." Said Ginny who was grinning, like George. "Then we've got much to plan."
"Yeah, but first, this has to be celebrate so I'll go and make us a wonderful dinner."
So the whole family sat in the big garden of the Burrow, happy, and looking forward to the two weddings that were about to come.
The atmosphere was good and relaxed, but one face was not as happy as the others.
George was sitting at the End of the table and he seemed to be sunk in thoughts. Where was he now? Fred? Was he okay? Could he see what was happening at the burrow? That his little brother was going to marry Hermione?
Oh Fred … Oh George … Gred and Forge …
"Are you okay?" a voice said. It was Ginny.
George jumped up.
"What? Oh … of course, I am okay. Just … just tired, you know? Just tired…" he said. "I think I go to bed." He stood up. "Good night, everyone. Oh, and … Well done, Ronnyboy."
