Katy has always been proud of her baby girl. She was talented and kind, she couldn't have asked for more. This day was no different.
It had taken a lot of work for everyone to convince Maya to sing at Topanga's bakery. Now there she was on stage in front of about fifty people.
She was going to sing a song but then she saw him… Josh. She immediately changed her mind and thought that if this was the only chance to express herself to him through a song she would take it.
So she started… never taking her eyes of him.

As she finishes her song she no longer sees him there
Everybody had left so she decided to go as well leaving her mother to close. On her way home she could hear someone follow her so she turns around.
It was him with that stupid beautiful smile of his. The smile that made her knees go weak.
"You were perfect, Maya." He said right before giving her a long kiss full with love and need. They both knew that was the only one they'd get so they lasted that way until they couldn't breathe.
They pulled away, stared in each other's eyes for a long minute saying everything that needed to be said and they parted ways.
