A/N: Hi guys! Anne here with the beginnings of a collab with my two friends Carin and Allison! Basically this story will be a mash of our characters we've created and one's that already exist, so I advice reading our other stories so you understand more about all the characters! The Prologue will be in the point of view of Scout, who is a hellhound. For those of you who do not know he's my character (Ophelia)'s pet. Enjoy!

Scout's POV

Prologue

Scout barely managed to make it out of the closing door. He heard Ophelia yelling his name however he was excited because Tessa was obviously going on an adventure! Sure he and his best friend Ophelia had plenty of fun adventures, but something told him that this was going to be the best one yet.

Tessa whirled around to see the little pup following her.

"Scout, no, you can't come. You need to stay with Ophelia," Tessa attempted to convince Scout. He wasn't having it. Scout yipped, trying to plant two of his muddy little paws on her legs which Tessa quickly side stepped. Sighing, Tessa pulled out her imparter and hailed Shane.

Being a hellhound, he had no idea what she said, nor did he care. Tessa scooped him up into her arms before grabbing her pathfinder and leaping away.

They reappeared in the middle of a group of multiple elves, only a few of which he recognized. As soon as the weird disgusting air hit his lungs, Scout started hacking a few times until he got used to the polluted air. Why would Tessa bring him here? He recognized a few of the elves gathered around like Livvy and Linh, however the rest, Juline, Councillor Zarina, Bex, Sony, Marella and Danna he'd never met.

Tessa set him down on the ground and ordered him to sit. Even though he wanted to run around sniffing everyone, he did as he was told.

"Ok everyone, because we are in the Forbidden Cities, no one is to make any contact with the humans, okay? And Tessa, keep that dog under control. This is a serious mission," Councillor Zarina ordered. Everyone nodded.

"Froster's, take this crystal. You'll be headed into Canada who've been dealing with increasingly more dangerous blizzards. Pyrokinetics, I'm expecting you to keep everything under control. Remember, this is your chance to redeem yourselves. You'll take this crystal which will take you directly into the line of one of the biggest forest fires this worlds ever seen. Linh, you'll be incharge of breaking the tsunami so it doesn't hit land. Tessa, take that dog and monitor the earthquake levels in Florida. We've received reports that there will be a category five earthquake, as the humans call it, in the northern reaches. Livvy, you're with me," Councillor Zarina explained, handing everyone different crystals.

One by one all the separate groups glittered away until only Scout and Tessa were left. Scout even remembered to put a paw on her leg before they as well disappeared.

His paws immediately noticed the warmer atmosphere. There were so many smells here as well! He started to run off, his nose pressed against the new ground but Tessa put her hand out, her eyes focusing on him and made him get dragged back to her.

"Stay. You wanted to come so you need to behave, got it?" she ordered. Scout responded with a sneeze. Tessa laughed before resting her hand on the ground, closing her eyes. Being a sensitive creature, he noticed the slight tremble in the ground as her hand connected with the earth. Bored out of his mind, even though it'd only been one minute, he flopped to the ground, his paws creating a soft cushion for his head.

Scout woke up suddenly when a particularly strange scent hit his nose. Tessa was still concentrating on the earth, unaware that something was creeping up on them. He heard the leaves crackling as they took each step. When it stopped, he began to get worried. He knew exactly where they were. If his collar weren't on, he'd charge full force towards them, fiery as hell. Scout needed to do something though, so he grabbed the soft fabric of Tessa's tunic and yanked hard. She awoke from her haze.

"Scout! Bad dog! Wait…." She paused her anger, her head slowly turning to the same bushes that Scout had his eyes on. Tessa's hand reached in front of her and a human was flung out of the bushes right at them. He looked terrified. Scout noticed he looked like an elf, smelled filthy, was way less attractive in the eyes of an elf.

"D-d-do-don't h-hurt m-m-me," he whimpered. Scout couldn't understand the words though, he was speaking in some foreign language. Tessa took a deep breath before responding in the same tongue, her words less clear.

"You or more?" she asked, her tone of voice harsh. The man sighed, his eyes never leaving Tessa. If you weren't a dog, like Scout, you might be able to tell he was in to Tessa. Because, ya know, elves are naturally more beautiful than humans. A smile appeared on his face though as he pulled something from his back pocket. Scout had no idea what this was, but Tessa seemed to know. Her arm fell and as soon as he hit the ground, it opened up, swallowing him whole.

She was too late though to notice two small darts whizzing through the air which buried themselves into Scout's neck and her neck. Before Scout could even look to see who was attacking them, his vision rimmed with black, his mind going dark. He collapsed to the ground, Tessa following his lead.

A/N: I hope you guys liked that! The different chapters might seem a little different as in the style of writing if that makes any sense because my friends and I will always be switching who writes them. If you like the story so far and want to see more, if you leave a reply/favorite/follow that helps us a lot! See you guys later!
