Dave kept catching JJ's eye as they waited on the others to come into the conference room. She wouldn't look at him so he got up from his chair and walked around the table to her.
"JJ you can't ignore what happened between us. I won't let you." Dave said in a firm but loving voice.
JJ shook her head and looked up at Dave and whispered. "I'm not trying to ignore what happened between us Dave. What I'm trying to do is get past it. You can't love me like I want to be loved. I want to be someone's world. I want the man I'm with to love me and only me. I want him to be able to keep his promises to me."
Dave looked at JJ and remembered he never told her how he felt. "Jen I can love you like that. I will make you my world. I would move Heaven and Earth if you were my girl. I do love you Jen. I love you more than my life. I won't make a promise I can't keep. Just give us a chance. Please give me a chance. I need you in my life."
JJ looked at Dave with wide eyes. "Dave did you just quote song lyrics to me?"
Dave blushed but nodded. "Yes, I did babe. I love you and I want you to know that."
JJ smiled and threw her arms around Dave. "I can't believe you quoted me song lyrics from one of my favorite songs. That was so romantic. You really must love me. I love you too Dave."
Dave wrapped his arms around JJ and brought her flush to his chest. "I do love you Jen. I can't imagine my life without you in it. I want to go to sleep every night with you by my side. I want to wake up every morning with you in my arms. The best part is I want the right to hold you, kiss you and tell you I love you any time I feel the urge too. Will you be my woman Jen?"
JJ blushed but kissed Dave passionately.
Dave chuckled after the kiss broke. "I take it that, that kiss means yes?"
JJ laughed. "It does indeed mean yes Dave. I don't want to be with anyone but you. I need you in my arms, in my life and in my heart."
Dave kissed JJ on the tip of her nose. "You got me babe. I'm yours and only yours. I never thought I could be this happy but I am. I feel like I'm seeing everything clearly now. You will always be my world Jen. Nothing can or could make me ever love you less than I do right this moment."
JJ burrowed even further into Dave's chest as her eyes filled with tears. She never knew that Dave Rossi the Legendary Profiler could be so sweet or so romantic. She knew that he was never this way with anyone else so for him to be this way with her she knew he meant it when he said he loved her.
"I love you Dave and I'll always be your woman. Nothing could make me love you any less than I do right now." JJ said as she ran her hands over Dave's back.
Dave smiled as he put his face in JJ's hair. He was truly happy now. He had the woman he was meant to spend the rest of his life with in his arms. He couldn't be any happier if he had just won a million dollars.
