DWA: Right I know its been waaay too long since I got out a chapter of TAA:J but I started a new DND campaign as a player, homebrewed world and all that. Me and my pal have our characters knowing each other and I may do short stories based on our adventures. This should kick me back into writing!
The City of Britain in the land of Brittania, a large city, and the lands capital. At one of the mages guilds buildings, a Half orc Woman took a bag full of enchanted items and thanked the clerk. And started for the door. She was simply doing her duties to the temple in which she worked.
Just outside a tall White Dragonborn, with a pack full of weapons, some of them darker in color than others, walks up and opens the door, to be met with the half orc.
"Oh, sorry,." She said with a small laugh.
"It's fine. I have a deliver for you." He said and held up the manifest.
"Wait, but, I have what…we didn't order any weapons?" She said looking at the manifest.
"The manifest says you ordered these weapons for enchantment." He said.
"I mean, I suppose…we have done them in the past but…never such a large order…" She said. "J-Just, come with me I guess." She said seemingly very confused and walked past him. The Dragonborn shrugged and followed her to the temple. Inside, one could find a shrine to any of the major deities. A human woman saw her enter with the Dragonborn and walked over.
"Ragna, who is this?" She asked.
"I…guess he's from the Blacksmiths Guild. Has a shipment of weapons?" She asked more than explained. The Dragoinborn held out the manifest and the woman took it and read it carefully. She then started laughing.
"Sir I'm so sorry, you must have thought Ragna worked for the Mages. No she's a temple worker, you should probably bring these to the Mages." She said. RAgna blinked and facepalmed and turned.
"I'm so sorry for wasting your time!" She said. The Dragonborn shrugged. "It's fine, try not to make the mistake again." He said.
"Oh, uh, what's your name?" Ragna asked.
"Naroth." He said and turned and started walking out the door.
"Sorry Naroth, let me make it up to you sometime!" She called out. Naroth simply waved as he left.
Over the course of a year, Naroth and Ragna's paths crossed several times, eventually Ragna brought him out for drinks, only to discover Naroth refuses drinks as it may hamper his work. Naroth considered her an acquaintances at best, but Ragna felt as they were great friends. They mainly talked about their work, never about their pasts or personal lives. So, when our adventure begins, you can imagine her surprised to see Naroth standing there, in the courtyard of Lord Britain's castle
"Naroth!" Ragna shouted and started running
"Don't you dare." Naroth said before getting a big hug from someone he definitely didn't expect to show up.
Of course, with a crew like this, what will be the norm on an adventure, through roads less traveled?
DWA: This should kick me back into writing. I've been less motivated simply because of my job. Hope you enjoyed!
