So, I had this idea in my head, and written it down a few weeks ago. But then, I couldn't think of anything else for it. Major writers block!… Anyway, enjoy this short story…

Awkward

A knock at Carly's apartment door. She opened it and seen a very angry person. "Sam," She said, examining the look on her friends face. "What's the matter?"

Sam came in and sat down. "My mom is the matter!"

Carly sat next to her, and rolled her eyes. "What did she do this time?" she laughed.

"She's been in the darn bathroom for over three hours!"

"Why?"

"I don't know." Sam sighed. "Every time I knock and say I need to take a shower, she says, GO AWAY!"

"Is she okay?"

Sam looked confused. "Um, Carly, we're talking about my mom."

"Oh." Carly got it. She knew her mom wasn't okay, always.

Silence for a moment, then Sam spoke, "Can I take a shower here?"

"I guess."

"Cool!" Sam got up and went to the bathroom.

A few minutes later, Freddie knocked and Carly yelled to come in. "Hey, Carly. Yo, Spencer!"

They both said, "Hey!"

"Freddie, could you help us move this sculpture down to the lobby?" Carly asked.

"Why?"

Spencer went to the sculpture and leaned on it and said excitedly, "I made this!"

"Yeah, I know." Freddie said, confusedly.

Spencer shook his head as he was smiling. "Yep! But this one's special, because it gets to go to the lobby, so people could see it."

"Great." Freddie said, plainly.

They all helped put it in the elevator, and was on their way to the lobby. Once they were, Freddie felt his pocket on his pants and said, "Oh, man!"

Carly turned to him and asked, "What?"

"I think I left my cell phone on your couch."

"So." Carly laughed. "You expecting a phone call?"

He walked away and paced across the floor.

He started to smile. "I'm going out on a date tonight, and they're suppose to call me soon."

"With whom?" Carly was surprised.

"Just with a girl."

"I know that. What's her name?"

He shrugged.

"Yes you do." Carly lightly tapped his arm. "Tell me."

He let out a heavily breath and said quickly, "Samantha."

"Sam?"

He shook his head.

"No?" Carly was confused. "So, who's that?"

"I don't think you know her. She's not in our grade."

"Whoa, whoa, whoa." Carly hold her hands up. "Does she go to our school?"

"No."

"How do you know someone I don't know?"

"My cousin introduced her to me." As soon as he said that, someone came around the corner. "Who did you get introduced to?" Sam asked in a snobby tone.

He rolled his eyes as he answered her, "Saman…" He got cut off by her, yelling, "Don't you ever call me that!" She hit him.

"Ow," he said rubbing his shoulder. "I wasn't talking about you, Sam."

"What?" She was confused.

"Samantha is the girl who is my date for this evening."

Sam just laughed. Freddie frowned. Carly just watched.

"You have a date?… Who would go out with you?!"

"Well, Sam, remember Valerie? She did…"

"Yeah, but she was a skunk-bag, and this one is probably too." Sam tone in her voice got snobbier as she spoke.

Freddie grinned. "Is that jealously I hear?"

"No!" she snapped quickly at him. "I'm happy for ya, Freddie." Her tone changed to a sweet one.

"Okay…" He was confused.

She felt her cheeks getting hot, so she turned her back against them. "Have fun on your date." She started to walk away.

Stopping in her tracks, she turned around by the call of her name. It was Freddie and he asked, "What's wrong?"

Walking away once again, without an answer, she thought, I don't wanna talk about it, and I don't want a conversation. I just wanna cry in front of you, and I don't wanna talk about it, 'cause I'm in love with you.

The End? I'll try and think of more chapters. Writers block stinks. Any ideas?
