Alex had just wake up. She felt dizzy and didn't really know what had happened. She remembered fighting Roan and then an agonizing pain. She looked around her and found Sean looking at her. She saw the worry on his eyes, but that quickly turned to a smile once he saw she was awake.
"Where am I?" She asked confused. She recognized the place, but was too tired to think. Sean smiled and then answered. "The closest hospital that won't ask questions."
That's when Alex realized where she was. First she felt scared. But then she thought that if Sean was there with her and not being tortured, they had won.
"Division." She said as she tried to sit on the bed, but quickly found that move too abrupt for her head, and then laid down again.
Sean looked at her nervously. "Speaking of questions, there's a yes or no..." Alex looked at him with sweat smile on her lips. "A question that we… You passed out… There was a lot going on, but maybe…"
Alex smiled even more and thought how funny it was to see Sean so nervous. But before he could finish, Nikita walked into the room.
"Alex." She said. "How are you feeling?"
"Getting there…" Sean said has he left the room.
"Hey, are you ok? What happened?" Alex asked worried. The older women sat next to her.
"A lot." Nikita answered. "Do you remember what I said when I decided I was going to let you infiltrate Division?" she asked and Alex tried to think. At that point, think was a hard task, giving the fact that her head was feeling like there was an elephant sitting on it.
"Here we go?" She finally said.
"Here we go again."
The only thing that passed through Alex's mind was: What?
Nikita had left the room and Alex was trying to rest. She knew that was the best for her body, but how was she suppose to? How was she suppose to stay still and sleep, when everything around her was going nuts? After a couple minutes thinking, Alex stood up and walked out of the room. Sean saw her from the end of the corridor and ran to help her.
"You shouldn't be up." He said and put his arm around her waist to help her walking.
"I need to go outside." She said.
"What? You need to rest."
"No." she said readily. "Sean, I still have nightmares about things that happened while I was a recruit. I don't want to be stuck in this whole any longer than I have to, especially alone." She said looking him on the eyes.
"Hey, you're not alone." He told her. "C'mon, let's go outside."
When they reached the farm, Nikita and Michael were there. Nikita had her head on Michael's chest. Alex and Sean stood there and watched them from a distance. Alex remembered the talk she had with Michael on the car. "I just look at what you guys have and I don't know if I'll ever be able to have that. I'm not even sure it's worth it." Nikita eventually noticed them and told them to come near them. While they were walking Michael's phone rang, it was Ryan. Alex took that that moment to stop.
"Thank you. For everything." she told Sean."It's just that… A lot happened inside those walls."
"I know, but you're not alone. I'm here. I'm always going to be here." Sean said and Alex stretched her legs and kissed him. Just a small, sweat kiss, that meant the world for them.
Sean stopped the kiss. "Was that a yes?" He asked.
Alex just laughed before she kissed again. They were stopped by a fake cough from Nikita. Alex just went and hugged her.
"So…" Nikita whispered.
"Shut up." Alex said and they both laughed.
