I have been soo bored so this story comes out of sheer boredom. No, I do not own High School Musical or the Pussycat Dolls' song I Hate This Part. Please review!

He was driving slowly, it was raining. He concentrates on the road in front of him. She looks over to him. His eyes don't move. He knows she's watching him. Radio's heard in the background, no one dares to talk. She knows what he was doing and she could not stand it. The car stops, tension begins to rise. "The park?" She asks. He simply nodded.

He nervously led her out of the beaten up truck. "The place we first met?" He nodded, she sighed. She knew there was a catch to this. The rain had died down, leaving a slight breeze. They walked towards a giant tree which had been engraved many times. Her eyes unconsciously wandered to an imprint, a simple heart which inside read 'TB+SE 4-ever'. Her hands touched the carving. He smiled timidly.

The wind was picking up again. Her blonde hair blew along with the leaves. His hands caress her gentle face. He gazes into her eyes, she couldn't stand it. "Look, Shar…"

The world slows down but my heart beats fast right now, I know this is the part where the end starts.

She shakes her head furiously. "No. No, no, no. No, this is not happening." Tears fall down her cheeks. Her face was completely paled.

He took her hands, "Look, Sharpay just listen to me." He was calm, his voice soothing. "No, this isn't happening. This can't happen…" She looked up, "Can it?"

I can't take it any longer, thought that we were stronger. All we do is linger, slipping through our fingers. I don't want to try now; all that's left is goodbye to find a way that I can tell you…

"Shar, I'm so sorry." His were filled with tears. They slowly fell down his face. All expression was gone.

"No, you're not." Her tone was rough, hoarse. "What?" The sun was setting, the perfect setting. "It's nothing Troy. It's getting late, just get me home."

"Please Shar, just listen," The brunette stood firmly, his crystal blue eyes stared into her own chocolate brown ones.

I know you'll ask me to hold on, and carry on like nothing is wrong
But there is no more time for lies, Cause I see sun set in your eyes

"Sharpay, it's not you it's me." She rolled her eyes. "Of course" He sighed.

The tears on both their faces had ceased.

"You're a nice, pretty girl Sharpay, really you are. It's just, all the play rehearsals for you and basketball practice for me we have no time to well, be together."

She looked down. "Oh." He played with his keys. "Well, can you possibly wait for me?" She knew what he'd say. "Yeah, possibly…" She knew it was a lie so she added, "Promise?" He sighed. "Yeah, Promise."

Tears formed in her eyes again, she knew this wasn't coming true as did he. The sky was a midnight blue, though it had only been like that for about ten minutes.

"Please, just take me home Troy Bolton." They walked away from the tree and into the car.

He was driving slowly, it was now a habit. He concentrates on the road in front of him. She looks over to him. .His eyes don't move. He knows she's watching him. Her crying is heard in the background, no one dares to talk.

I just can't take your tears
