Preface

I never thought in a million years that I would end up in this position. Ready to leave the one I love in order so that she not we could be happy.

Chapter 1

Jacob

"Jake you lazy bum get out of bed or we are going to be late!" Nessie yelled.

I groaned and rolled over to look at the clock, which read the ungodly hour of 6:45 AM. Never in a million years did I think that I would ever have to go back through high school again, but with Nessie starting her sophomore year and Bella and Edward graduated I was forced to go back to high school as a junior to ensure that Nessie remained safe. Ever since she was young it has been a favorite job of mine to be a friend, mentor, and older brother but now that she was older I was having a slight problem with keeping my thoughts from wandering to how she looked. These thoughts I tried to keep hidden especially when I was around Edward but if Neisse wore one of those little spaghetti strapped tops and short combos today I knew I was going to have a really hard time with keeping my thoughts strictly brotherly. Taking a deep breath I sat up stretched and got out of bed to get ready for a day of school.

As I walked to the kitchen to grab some cereal I caught a glimpse of Nessie at the top of the stairs. My heart stopped beating and all coherent thought left my body. As if sensing my presence Nessie turned and smiled up at me the most dazzling smile that I had ever seen in my life. I couldn't decide if I should kiss her or run…and at this point running seemed like a good option. But just as I was about to flee Nessie spoke in that musical voice of hers:

"Hey sleepy head ready to go to school?"

"I guess so but it is just going to be another year of the same crap as before." I replied.

Nessie didn't seem to agree, as she was all excited to be starting at a new school. For some reason I had a very bad feeling about this school; I just couldn't get that nagging feeling out of the back of my head. So when we walked into the cafeteria and I saw him sitting there I didn't know what to think.

Okay so I just wanted to say this is my first fan fiction so I know it probably isn't that good. I hope you review and enjoy!
