"Are you ok Nico?"
"Go away!" Came the muffled reply from behind the firmly shut door.
"C'mon I can help. You just need to let me in." He rested his forehead against the door, willing himself to respect Nico's privacy and not tear down the door.
"What do you know?" Silence ruled for a few seconds before heavy breathing could be made out and the young demigod muttered out a curse.
"I know that we have been there for each other. And I didn't rescue you from that jar for you to just hide yourself away in a room." He laid his hand on the door. "And I know you have saved me. So just come out already."
"Come out?" Nico gave a short, pain filled laugh. "Not for you. Not for anyone."
"Why are you scared? We all accept you. Even the camps do too."
"You don't understand a thing. If you knew then you wouldn't accept me."
"What are you talking about?"
"Absolutely nothing. Isn't that funny? It actually is absolutely nothing. Just like me."
"Nico, hurry up and come out of there. I'm tired of playing this game with you. I'm going to go get Annabeth."
"Oh yeah sure run to your girlfriend because one person refuses to listen to you."
"That's it! I'm tired of this. I'm trying to be there for you even with all the bad things that have gone on between us and you won't even try and meet me half-way. Why do you refuse to be my friend?"
"Isn't it blatantly obvious?"
"No! How the hell would I know? You are always on guard and have a stupid poker face when I'm around."
"Well how about I tell you then? How you let my sister die. You, who ignores all the people you save, try and use them. Where is your conscious?"
"Forget it. I'm done trying to be your friend." Angry footsteps were heard as he stomped away, while small shoulders rocked back and forth in pain as Nico tried to stifle his sobs on the other side of the door.
Only one last sentence was heard, so full of grief and pain that it filled the small hallway before dropping to a short whisper: "So am I."
A/N: So if that wasn't obvious, it was a conversation between Nico and Percy. Umm yeah been shipping them so hard (to my friends: hehe yeah I do..), but I fear there will be no happy ending for them. Not that writing this really helped….. Anyway please review/favorite/preferably not follow the story (it's just that I don't think I will do another chapter for this but I guess who know).
