So I'm trying my hand at abject love poems now. If you don't know what that is it's a "I hate this and this about you, but I love you anyway" kind of thing. This was partially inspired by Colorful Strangers by Hikari Kaitou so check it out if you have the time.

I hate how you fake your smiles

and hide behind a mask.

Your annoying happiness

disguising your true self.

I can see the pain and self loathing

hidden in your sky blue eyes

that mirror the emotions

of a never-ending act.

Why can't you see

that your damned nicknames

never work on me?

I can see who you are

and regardless of that fact

I ended up loving you

much to my discontent.
