6teen: Maybe It Could Work?

Summary: Jude and Jen have a romantic moment. Will it work? JudexJen oneshot.

Jude sat at the table with all of his friends, talking about random stuff.

"Hey, Jonesy," Wyatt said, "you get the job at that new store, Bras-R-Us?"

"Yeah, and the babes there are hot!" Jonesy said, grinning.

"Why'd they even let you in there in the first place?" Nikki asked. "It's a store for women, not guys looking for girls."

"Yes, but I told them I was gay," Jonesy said thinking if there'd be a peephole in the changing rooms.

"Hey, isn't this Jen's break?" Nikki asked. "She said she'd tell us something important when she got here."

Just then, Jude heard Star behind him, so he turned and looked up, seeing Star staring down at him.

"Uh, Jude, I was wondering," Star began, definitely flirting, "you want to go on a date tonight?"

"Totally dude," Jude replied.

"Okay!" Star said happily. "I'll be waiting when the mall closes outside."

Star bladed off on her roller-blades.

"Go Jude!" Jonesy said, "she just came up to you and asked you out and you didn't even do anything."

"I wonder what Jen has to say to us." Caitlin said suddenly.

"I gotta get back to Stick It." Jude walked off.

Jen ran up to everyone.

"You'll never guess what happened you guys!" Jen exclaimed. "I found--wait, where's Jude?"

"Went back to Stick It," Caitlin replied.

"Oh, well I'll just tell him later. So, I was walking in the mall and then I heard a crunch under my feet, kind of like paper. So I lifted my foot and saw--"

Jude walked towards the mall doors.

Okay, he thought. When I see Star, I gotta make a move.

Jude decided he'd kiss her, surprising her. He'd do it quickly to, so she had no idea it would come. Maybe it'd impress her or like him more or something. Jude had made up his mind. He'd kiss her.

Jude continued to the doors until he reached them. He opened them and stepped out into the cool night air.

"Jude!" a voice cried out. "I've been looking everywhere for you!"

Jude turned, closed his eyes, and kissed the person that the voice belonged to. He kissed her deeply, passionately. And she kissed back, and without hesitation too.

The kiss turned into a minute long make-out. Finally, the two backed away from each other.

Jude opened his eyes, but Star wasn't in sight. Jen stared back at him! He had kissed Jen, thinking it was Star.

"Jude!" Jen cried. "Why did you--"

"I thought you were Star!" Jude said, pulling his hat over his eyes in embarrassment. "What are you even doing out here?"

"I told everyone that I had found a blank check without a name but it had a lot of cash. So I told everyone I'd buy them a gift and put the check in my name. I looked for you to tell you, and I saw you out here. Then you kissed me!"

"But you kissed back!" Jude said, lifting his hat a little.

"Yeah, because I was a little caught up at the moment!" Jen exclaimed.

"But, did you…like it?" Jude asked shyly, wondering if he had made a mistake by saying that.

Jen's eyes widened. "Well, uh…um…you see…oh, I loved it!" she confessed.

"S-s-so did I," Jude admitted.

Jen wrapped her arms around his neck and Jude wrapped his arms around her waist, and they kissed again, even deeper than the last.

"Want to go out tonight?" Jen asked, pulling away from the kiss.

"Totally," Jude said, kissing her again.

The two friends who were now--they guessed--boyfriend and girlfriend walked down the sidewalk, toward the movies, where they'd probably make-out the entire time of the movie.

Star stepped out of the mall, smiling.

"Okay Jude, sorry for being late. I had to--" Star's smile faded. "Um, Jude? Where are you?"
