The Pokémon War
Luke wasn't the type to make friends. He never trusted anyone enough to believe they couldn't do wrong. Luke is the last Lucario left.
The rest of the Lucario were killed in the Pokémon war. The fact that he is the only one left makes Luke seem terrifying to the other sides of the war. As far as he cared, he was his own team.
He was the type to hide in the shadows, whos battle strategy was to scare the others off until he is feared by all. That way, he could avoid battles but still be powerful.
The five clans in the war, each focusing in a certain statistic, were power hungry brats to Luke. There was Team Force, a team about strength and power, Team Mind, the "special" based team. There was Team Shield, the defense team, Team Safeguard, built for resisting projectiles. Finally, the Health Team, who don't fight and are against violence.
Luke is his own team. Luke knew just about everything about the other teams.
What he didn't know is that he was being spied on right then.
Cupcake the Scizor had an ironic name. He's had it since he was born, at a Team Rocket laboratory, given by a group that was either power hungry or just hungry. Cupcake was a bounty hunter, and didn't belong to a team. His time at Team Rocket's HQ had traumatized him, but the upside was that his pincers were replaced by energy cannons.
Ever since he was hired by a strange figure claiming to be the leader of Team Force, That particular Lucario has became his main target. Other than Luke himself, Cupcake was the only who knew his name. He knew his weakness. He wasn't afraid of him.
That will all help when he destroys him.
Cupcake knew Luke more than he knew himself, yet he was still bent on finishing the job. If he learned anything from his time at Rocket labs, it would be that life is meaningless.
As Luke watched another battle, he sighed. Team Force was duking it out with Team Mind. All useless. The 5 clans were evenly matched, and there was no good reason for war. It seemed that Luke was the only one who realized the stupidity of the war, not counting the dimwitted, happy-go-lucky Team Health. Luke was somewhat weak secretly, as his access to aura was cut off early in his life.
His wisdom and martial arts skills were his saving grace. Unfortunately, wisdom and martial arts aren't enough to detect a spy behind him. Thankfully, Cupcake wasn't going to shoot him.
Yet.
Down on the battlefield, Team Force was beginning to gain the upper hand. The only rule for joining Team Force is that you have to give up any previously owned nickname, as the leader has a some what simple mind. While this makes it easy for spies to join, the team has advantage in numbers. A Machamp Mega Punched a Kadabra named Hocus. A Braviary from Team Force struck some levitating Gardevoir from the sky. Two Gallade, one for each of the teams, were trading Psycho Cuts and waiting for one to give up.
Meanwhile, in a far off headquarters, the Team Force leader was watching eagerly the destruction on his monitor. On another screen, the leader observed Cupcake and his every action in a small camera attached to one of his cannons. Cupcake didn't even know about the camera, plus it could withstand an energy blast. The leader's bandana, which had a piece of everstone on it, was the only light in the darkness of the room, not counting the monitors. His energy bazooka hummed in the dark, and the leader smiled at his reflection
"They will never call me weak again!"
