AN=This occured to me while listening to my Dad's favorite musician, Paul
McCartney, he whom which I pretty much grew up with. I know that the
lyrics aren't all correct or even in order for that matter...but it fit and
it works for me! :-P
"So Sad"
'So sad...so sad...sometimes she feels so sad...'
The young woman turned off the old stereo she had had for the past 10 years now. She slipped out of her covers and walked towards the dresser. The ragged mess in the mirror reflected nothing but disappointment. A quick shower would get her ready for the day. And although it was just another day, she would need a longer shower this morning.
'Ah...Stay...Don't stand her up...and he comes....and he stays....but he leaves the next day...'
The steamy hot waterfall in her shower cleansed her of all feelings about the night before. Nothing in the world felt better than to step out onto the small white towel and then look at the feet imprints of a clean new woman.
All until she looked into the fogged mirror, and only saw an image of what she really was, corroded and dead.
'So sad...sometimes she feels so sad...'
She dressed herself in everyday work clothes, and she slipped into her shoes.
'Dipping in the pocket of her rain coat...'
At the door she threw on her raincoat she used for the usual morning misty rain, and began her trek through the rain to the office down the street.
'It's just another day.'
The office, busy as always, holds nothing new and interesting to keep her attention. Just the man across the room.
The rainy day goes by, pouring all around her. Trapping her in this repetitive cycle.
He looks up from his paper and just stares, asking the question.
Her eyes repeat the same song as usual, the one that repeats over and over in her head.
'Ah...Stay...Don't stand her up...then he comes...and he stays...'
"Will you leave the next day?"
No answer.
'So sad...sometimes she feels so sad...'
