A/N: This may seem like Raoul-bashing, but it's not, trust me. Just be patient and read to the end.
Christine was thoroughly annoyed. She had gotten home from a show to find Raoul on the couch, drinking and watching TV.
"Raoul!" she said sharply. "What are you doing?"
"Go away, I'm busy!" Raoul snapped back.
Christine narrowed her eyes and went to prepare dinner. Which Raoul requested in front of the TV with no talking.
"What has gotten into you?!" Christine demanded.
"Shut up, I'm busy!" Raoul sneered.
Raoul continued in this behavior for a week. He was rude, lazy, stupid, constantly drunk, and had even slapped her one time. She had been cleaning the clothes when he stormed in and demanded to know why the car was gone. After explaining to him that it was in the auto shop, and that they'll have to walk, he slapped her across the face and left.
Furious, she left to go over to Erik's house.
Erik, as usual, welcomed her in with no questions. They sat in front of the fireplace, drinking tea.
"What's wrong?" Erik asked, frowning.
Christine sighed, "Raoul. He's just so…annoying."
Erik nodded, "well, you're welcome to stay here for the night. The guestroom is always open."
"Thanks Erik," Christine smiled, "you're a good friend."
Christine stayed at Erik's place for the next few days. It was nice to get a break from Raoul. He normally was like a big teddy bear, but his mood has changed.
"Erik," Christine said, walking into his office, "do you think that Raoul is tired of me?"
Erik frowned, "I don't know, possibly. Raoul never seemed to admire you the way I did." Christine smiled and kissed his forehead, "thank you."
That night, she was thinking about Raoul. Perhaps a big break was what they needed. Christine sighed and got out of bed to go walking around the house. She frowned when she heard a noise coming from a closet. Christine tried the door, but it was locked.
"Erik!" she called out and Erik appeared.
"Is something wrong?" Erik asked.
Christine frowned, "Can you open this? I heard something moving in it."
"Mice," Erik said quickly.
Christine raised her eyebrows, "Well, I'm not scared of mice."
Erik sighed and drew out a ring of keys from his pocket. He opened the door and opened it. Christine frowned when she saw Raoul, tied up and gagged, in the closet.
"Just because he was being rude, didn't mean that you had to do this," Christine said, undoing the gag.
Raoul panted, "Christine, you're here!"
"I hope you're going to apologize," Christine said, hands on her hips.
Raoul frowned, "What do you mean? I've been locked in here for weeks."
Christine turned to Erik, who was looking guilty, "then who have I been living with for the past week?"
Erik cleared his throat, "Um that would be Raoul's brother, Philippe."
"Wait, you've been living with Philippe for the past week?" Raoul asked, confused. Christine sighed and untied him. She helped him up and turned to frown at Erik.
"That wasn't nice," she said, disapprovingly. "You switched Raoul with Philippe, so that I would get mad and leave him."
"Sorry," Erik muttered.
Christine sighed and smiled, "That's all in the past now." She hugged Raoul, who was shivering slightly. "Come on, let's get you warmed up, sweetie."
