Summary:

Link can't always have Zelda telling him what to do through telepathy, eventually he'll wind up insane. Oneshot

Author's Notes:

This probably won't make much sense. I got the idea from listen to the Zelda sound and drama.

Inside Insanity

"Link!"

A green clothed man jolted around. Was he dreaming?

"Link! Help me, Link!"

He knew that voice. She had spoken to him in dreams before. He had to find her. She needed his help.

He ran, but everything was black. There was no floor, no walls and no ceiling stopping him, but he wasn't getting anywhere.

Ha ha ha ha ha ha!

That laugh. It was man's laugh. It was dark and sinister. It was Ganon's.

"Liiiiiiink!!"

"Zelda! Where are you?!"

Ha ha ha…

The laughter was fading. Link couldn't hear her screaming anymore. He ran until he could hear her voice again.

She's mine! All the sages are mine! The Triforce will be mine!!

"ZELDAAA!"

The hero continued to stumble through the darkness. Every time he thought he was closer, she was pulled away from him by an evil force. Every time he thought he wouldn't catch up, he heard her voice calling for help.

He felt his way through the darkness, though nothing served as a barrier to his desired destination.

She didn't want to hurt him, but it wasn't just her life on the line. All of Hyrule needed Link to save them. She couldn't let Ganon seize the Triforce.

He wouldn't give up.

He'd keep on running through the darkness…

…Running forever to save her.

Author's Notes:

I wondered what would happen if Link couldn't find Zelda when she called out to him. I only know that Zelda communicates telepathically in "the Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past".
