Everyone thought he was stupid. That much was obvious.
He wasn't, though, not really. Maybe he wasn't that great in class, and he couldn't remember the last time he'd passed an exam. He wasn't that great academically.
Everyone assumed that just because he hung around with Malfoy and followed him, he had no intelligence. That wasn't true. He was forced to follow Malfoy; his father had made sure of that.
It's not as if he wanted to. Truth be told, he couldn't stand Malfoy and his arrogance. He had never known someone to be so self-centered, and sometimes it made him sick to carry out the tasks Malfoy gave for him to do.
What could he do, though? There wasn't any other option, not in this godforsaken world.
Gregory Goyle wasn't stupid. He just didn't have a choice.
