"Sing a song for me."
She would tell him whenever it used to rain heavily with a hint of a storm approaching. And he would smile at her, his eyes warm with love, pick up his guitar and would do exactly what she wanted him to do, sing her a song to make her forget the restless down-pouring rain outside the windows.
Because he was James and she was Lily.
Because he would do anything and everything to make the fear and sadness go away from her eyes.
Because she asked for a song and he would love to sing it to her.

"Sing a song for me."
She would tell him in the quiet moments when they would sit at the edge of the astronomy tower alone at the dead of the night, wrapped in each other and their he would pull her a little more closer and whisper in her ears the song that she asked.
Because he was James and she was Lily.
Because he would love to hold her a little more closer to his heart.
Because she asked for a song and he would love to sing it to her.

"Sing a song for me."
She would ask him when the burden of expectations, fear and reality would become too much that her voice would tremble while his heart would wrench painfully at her tears. So he would take her in his arms, offer her his support and he would sing to her the song that she asked.
Because he was James and she was Lily.
Because she was breaking and he could keep her gathered whole in his arms
Because she asked for a song and he would love to sing it to her.

"Sing a song for me."
She would giggle mischievously stepping aside from his reach and running across the forest trees. He would laugh and run after her to catch her. Both of them hidden away from the castle and it's people, playing a silly game of hide and seek in the forbidden forest. And he would sing to her, following her across the well trodden path as he chased her, his voice and laughter drifting to her.
Because he was James and she was Lily.
Because they were both a bit mad, their heart young and wild, foolishly in love.
Because she asked for a song and he would love to sing it to her.

"Sing a song for me."
She would whisper huskily in his ears, lips drifting across his cheeks towards his lips. And he would back her against the walls of the deserted corridor, put his hands around her waist and sing the song she asked on her lips, his eyes never leaving hers as he did so.
Because he was James and she was Lily.
Because the girl would be the end of him and he just can't get enough of her, never enough.
Because she asked for a song and he would love to sing it to her.

"Sing a song for me." The girl with the forest eyes would ask and the boy in love with her could simply never deny.
