"So, this…spacious."

G. Callen looked over at his teammate with a small smirk and shrugged. "I told you I haven't had a chance to do much with the place."

Kensi poked her head around the doorway that separated one empty room from the next. "Normally, when someone says that, it means they have boxes all over the place, not an empty house."

"It's not empty," he commented. "My sleeping bag and rucksack are in the bedroom and there's a fridge. With food in it."

"Wow." Her voice echoed off of the bare walls and then he heard her giggle. A giggle from Kensi could only lead to scary things, so he was on guard as she called out, "Well, at least it's clean. The floors have a nice polish."

"Yeah," he agreed, then watched her slide into the room, obviously having taken a running start, then letting her momentum carry her across the gleaming floor. As a habit, he had kicked his boots of by the door and she had followed his example. He glanced over to where their boots lay in a pile, both pairs heavy and black, sturdy and practical for their line of work.

Still slipping around the room, Kensi teased, "Tell me you've done a Risky Business impersonation!"

He chuckled and hitched himself up onto the countertop, watching her progress with a smile. "Can't say I have, Kenz. Not really my style. Feel free though."

"You wish!" She slid out of the room, then poked her head around the door again, dark hair swinging. "More of a boxer man?"

Clearly, she didn't expect him to answer, as her laughter rang through the house.

Callen surprised himself by thinking he could get used to that sound.
