"Rei!" I yelled running towards her.
Alice screamed, the high pitched noise echoing throughout the entire Island. Saeko leaped in front of the small girl pushing her back protectively, she swung the glistening sword through the air, it came crashing down on the corps's head. I grabbed Rei's arm pulling her away from the cave's entrance. Hirano threw her her gun and she spun on her heels firing at the many zombies that came towards us. We've gone against larger herds than this, we should be OK. I stepped into the mouth of the cave still firing. The cool cover of the caves shadow left me missing the heat of the sun on my back, it wasn't nearly as hot as the first day we were here. Zero ran into the cave, he disappeared into the darkness barking like a maniac. Alice went to chase after the small dog, but Rei quickly turned around and sat down on her knees in front of the small girl.
"Alice, calm down. You can't follow him, he's chasing them away." Rei said calming the little girl.
"She's right, he's barking and making them go away." Miss Shizuka cheered jumping up and down, her breasts mashing against her chest.
I stepped deeper into the cave following Zero's quieting barks. I turned my head to see Rei only inches behind me, Saeko was beside me on the opposite side of the cave. I felt the darkness wrapping around us as I tured back one last time, Hirano, Miss Shizuka and Alice were waiting anxiously at the mouth of the cave. I froze. Rei bumped into me gasping at the sudden stop. Saeko continued, but she walked slower, more carefully then before, not making a single sound. There was silence and we all sat there wondering, did one of them actually attack the dog, no he would have yelped in distress, he wouldn't have gone silently... so what had happened? I heard the slight sound of footsteps, but they were light and graceful, definitely not from one of the monsters we'd been fighting. Saeko kneeled down picking up something, I couldn't see what it was, it was to dark.
"You had us worried, Zero." She said.
I felt Rei's breath against my neck as she sighed in relief. Saeko walked back towards us and we retreated from the cave. I let in a deep breath letting it out slowly as the warm sun hit my body again. Saeko placed the small dog in Alice's arms who beamed a the sight of him. We all walked back to the beach house, know that we know about the tunnel we can't stay here. I looked over at the dog who was now walking beside Alice.
"So it looks like Zero finally learned to shut up." I mused.
