The dibbuns were up early, odd for dibbuns, but they were on a mission and had been planning this for a few days. The leader seemed to be a rabbit dibbun as he pointed to a piece of paper and about 20 other varies dibbun gathered around as he spoke "We takes over kitchen and make cake, it will be yummy"

One small dibbun mouse named Sue just watched and then spoke up "But whys? We will get in lots of trouble."

The rabbit grinned "No we won't. We also needs lots of de..de…decorations" The last word being hard to say.

Sue just hugged her stuffed mouse close to her chest and looked at the doorway.

Rick, a dibbun vole smiled at Sue "You can distracts Papa Oz…ok?"

Sue just frowned and gave a small.. "Okie" And walked off to where the badger was still asleep and climbed up onto his bed, onto his chest and sat there till his eyes opened and she smiled…giggling as he lifted her up, "Papa Oz..heehehehe"

Meanwhile in the kitchens the dibbuns had pushed over chairs to reach things like flour, and honey. They also found sugar and other needed cake ingredients

"DO we knows how make Cake?" A mouse dibbun asked.

They all look to one another and frown.

One of the main kitchen helpers enters and gasps "What in the seasons!"

All 20 dibbuns freeze, they look helplessly caught in the act of one very messy kitchen and a large bowl of cake mix they somehow made.

"We is making cake…"

"Tis papa Oz birth season day he needs cake"

"Yeah"

"We is sorry for mess"

The mouse brother sighs and then smiles "Tell ya what little ones, help me clean this up and I can do the baking."

Cheers go up into the air and clean up begins. The cake is soon made and appears to be a normal cake, that…smells of apples and…peaches maybe? A hint of honey somewhat.

Sue has keep Oz busy, as well as about 10 other dibbuns. The badger carries a couple small otters that are only a few days old, and holds the paw of a hare dibbun.

"So my dibbuns why does it seem half of you are missing…playing hide and seek this long?" Oz crosses his arms over his chest and raises an eyebrow.

About the same time the rabbit, so called leader of the –missing- dibbuns shows up. The other dibbuns bump into him and catch sight of Oz.

Sue frowns "I keeps him busy for so longs…"

Oz blinks and then…yep it's the look, lecture time has come.

The abbey brother walks forwards "Just a moment Oz, it is fine they were with me. Please don't be upset " Another beast rolls in a cart with the cake on it. It's a nice cake with white icing and honeyed rose petals around it and the words =HAPPY BIRTH SEASON DAY PAPA OZ= written on top. If one samples the cake it's an apple/peach cake with honey….but hey it could be good..right?

Oz smiles as the large group of dibbuns gather around him "Thank you my dibbuns" He chuckles and takes a small bite of the cake and pauses before he swallows "Well this is certainly…a new flavor yes but it's also good to share, let's eat this by the pond!"

The dibbuns all chuckle and follow Papa Oz to the pond where cake awaits and some strawberry fizz.

==Just a nice little birthday story, since it's my birthday in real life..this is maybe 3-4 seasons after Oz became Badger Mother and before he was blind… so hope enjoyed ==
