You all known that Mulan and Shang and everyone else in the movie Belongs to Disney. The Song is Sung By Alison Krauss, and it's off the 'Cold Mountian' Soundtrack. I got the idea for this when my four year old niece was watching Mulan and I was listening to the song on Youtube. The Pictures for the video I was watching though, made me think of it. This is a different take on the destroyed Village at the Tung Shau Pass.
I have revised it, spellchecked it and tried to better the grammar. The Italics though, are the actual lyrics themselves. So if the grammar isn't up to par, its not my fault. LOL Read on, my readers, read on.
Mulan stood shocked at the total destruction before her. The village that once was, was nothing more than burning embers and charred frames of wood. She could see Captain Shang's red cloak fifty paces before her, sitting tall on his gray Imperial Stallion, Sang. Leaving Khan where he was, she walked forward.
You'll walk unscathed through Musket fire,
No ploughman's blade will cut thee down.
No cutlass wound will mark thy face

She walked through the burned remains, looking up, she saw Captain Li Shang dismount and leave his stallion and disappear over the snowed hill. Mulan followed him and her heart nearly stopped at the sight below her. Horses and men laying dead in the snow, snow stained red from the spilt blood by each body. Carriages were overturned, their wheels broken and splintered, looking harsh and fatal. Black arrow shafts stuck out of bodies, and in the snow where they had missed their aimed targets.

She picked her way through the bodies, careful not to look into the lifeless eyes of men, all slaughtered in cold blood, and careful not to jostle the bodies of the dead. Stopping where she was, she looked around her, before seeing the captain fifty yards away standing over one of the bodies.
Asleep inside the cannon's mouth.
The captain cries, "here comes the rout"
They'll seek to find me North and South
I've gone to find my ain true love
She walked over to him, looking at the red-stained blood, absolutely sick that man do this.
The field is cut and bleeds to red
The cannon balls fly round my head
the infirmary man may count me dead
When I've gone to find my ain true love
She reached Shang's side as he knelt by the General, putting his hands over the general's eyes, he closed them, and kissed the brow of his father. Mulan placed her hand on his shoulder gently, squeezing it in a comforting and supportive manner. He reached his left hand across his body, placing his hand on hers, squeezing slightly in return before he rose, looking down at his father's mangled body, he bowed his head and inhaled sharply. She could see his struggle to keep his emotions in check, She murmured
"I'm sorry."and giving his shoulder one more squeeze, turned and left him to grieve. As she walked away, he looked after her. A thought came into his head, but he dismissed it almost immediately.. Could there be more to Ping that meets the eye?
He heard a soft voice on the wind, and assumed it came from Ping. It was a soft feminine voice partly sing,partly whisper eight words:
I've gone to find my ain true love.
