A/N: I LIVE! But honestly, it's been a while ride for me, all these year's of waiting and building, and it finally came out, I didn't even know since everything in my life was going so crazy... But I feel that now is a good time to write my story, I didn't really have an idea on how to make it work before, but now I am starting to believe I have an Idea, it's not the one I set out for when I started this project. But it's the one I feel best and the most right considering everything. Furthermore, the title will remain the same, and this story will NOT be an attempt at novelizing the story so far, for those of you who read this and have already beaten the game's story. You might be asking "How is this meant to be Kingdom Heart's 3 if we already got it?" Rest assured, what I have to propose to you all might be shocking, but the truth is, the story up till now was NOT Kingdom Heart's 3, it was Kingdom Heart's 2.9, the REAL 3.0 Story is what I am going to try to give you with this chapter going forward and all other's. If you haven't finished the game and don't want to be spoiled. TURN BACK AND DO NOT READ THIS UNTIL YOU HAVE DONE SO! This will be picking up where the Secret Ending left us at, but it will also feature aspects of the universe that aren't that fleshed out, rest assured if you are confused, then I will do my best to provide you the best understanding of the concept I can come up with. It's kind of my thing, to make sense of higher level concept's that would leave most people scratching their head's for a LONG time... Now if that is all that we need to go over, then on with the show...
Kingdom Heart's: Keyblade Knight's
Chapter 1: A world like no other seen...
The world was at night, that much was obvious with the Moon being out and everything. And it was also Raining as well, a rather heavy downpour in fact...
He didn't know where he was, he knew who he was and everything that lead up to him being here, but he didn't have the slightest clue as to where he was...
Whatever the case, he needed to find his friend's, he NEEDED to get to them so he could find a way back home...
Who is this person? A young man who had given everything he had to save his friend's, his love, and all the world's from the action's of a Madman who sought only to bring ruin and devastation to all that exists...
"Well, well. You sure put a lot of effort into getting your girlfriend back, didn't you Sora?" A voice told him, it seemed to come from everywhere, yet nowhere at the same time...
"Who's there?!" The young man, Sora, called out, brandishing his weapon, a Keyblade, the Kingdom key to be precise...
"Now, is that the to way treat the guy who kept you from REALLY dying for good?" The voice said, having a sound of being ever-so-slightly annoyed by Sora's reaction...
"What are you talking about- Wait a minute, YOU?!" Sora exclaimed with a shock and surprise as he recalls from WHERE he heard that voice, sparse and rare, yet helping him when he truly needed it the most...
Soon enough a Light begin's to shine to his left, catching him off guard, a brief moment of shock give's way to surprise as the light get's brighter and brighter, until it is too much and start's to blind Sora, who can only shield his eye's in response...
The light then soon fade's, showing an armored figure, the armor appearing to have a white color as the main, a light grey as the secondary, and along the part of the helmet where a 'Visor' would be was a blue glass like substance, the majority of the armor's design didn't look as ornate as the like's used by Terra, Aqua, or Ventus, based on what few details Sora knew of it, but it did not have a look of menace about it like what Xehanort had used as part of the final battle that he had fought in alongside Donald and Goofy, the armor looked simple, with it appearing more like the kind's seen on some world's more than other's, and yet the armor appeared to have seen some wear and use over the age's, dent's and mark's where blow's of all kind's had left an impact...
The figure looked around at the sight's, the two of them standing at an intersection of some main road's in a City that Sora did not recognize at all... Yet the figure appeared to, and the way he looked Sora couldn't help but feel as sense of... Longing? Sadness? Disappointment?
"Looks so much like the one I left behind, too bad I never got to see the one that I came from to compare, but then again, that worldline came to an end long ago. So it's for the best..." The figure spoke, his voice sounding, forlorn, and melancholic for some reason...
"Worldline? What's that supposed to mean?" Sora asked, confused by what the figure meant.
The figure turned his head to Sora, seemed to feel as if he was trying to figure out how to explain it to him, and seemed to find a good enough example when he spoke...
"Oh, yes! Well I'll try to keep it brief and simple. A Worldline is pretty much a mean's of representing the flow of time, from where it could be said to 'Start' to when it' End's' as it where, thing is, going from one worldline to the next isn't the same as traveling through time, least not the way Xehanort and his lackey's did it anyhow." The figure tries to explain to Sora...
Seeing how Sora doesn't quite get it the figure tries again. "Okay, so think of it like this, you have a line, and at some point you draw a line that Branch's off from the first, and that line then get's a Branch of it's own, and so on and so on to an infinite degree. Now for the most part you can't really TRAVEL per say from one line to the next, but it is NOT impossible. BIG difference! And Time isn't really that big of a deal when it come's to it either, be it past OR Future..." The figure explain's hoping Sora get's it now...
"Okay, I don't really understand how it all work's, but your pretty much saying you came from a world so different from the one me and everyone else I know of come's from, that it has it's own separate history and event's compared to our own?" Sora say's, trying to wrap his head around this concept that he doesn't really get...
The Figure appear's to 'nod' at him in approval and says. "Yep! Pretty much, worldline's don't need to have ANYTHING in common so long as someone or something has enough power to enable a 'crossing of the gap' as it where, I should know. I'm living proof! Not to mention you guy's kinda made a whole new one when you FINALLY Managed to get past that whole roadblock of that Terra-Xehanort debacle, and let me tell you I was SO FREAKING MAD! If I could do so, I'd walk right up to Xehanort and BREAK HIS BONE'S INTO FINE POWDER! That and how he just went ahead and killed Kairi off like that, trust me Sora... If had you ANY IDEA of what that meant for me, you and I would be wanting to see who could smash him the most, and NO I don't have those kind's of feeling's for Kairi, but take my advice and treat her well, when you guys get back that is..."
Sora is starting to panic somewhat at this, thinking that it was all for nothing when the figure speak's "First off, you DID bring Kairi back with that stunt you pulled off at the end there, but now she and everyone else wound up getting scattered to the wind's after you faded away, and before you ask, she and Riku are on this world, everyone else is on a few different world's, well beside's Mickey, Donald, and Goofy. Those three are back at Disney Castle, and don't bother trying to get in touch with them either, they can't come to the world's we are in..."
Sora feeling (slightly) less panicked about the whole situation, then ask's him the important question. "How do we get back home?"
The Figure look's at him in such a way Sora can't help but feel as if 'He's' smirking "I'd thought you never ask'd." he tell's him as he goes to explain what need's to be done...
Meanwhile...
Riku wake's up with a bit of a groan, not sure where he's at or what is going on, all that he know's is that he's not on the island's anymore, and that he need's to find his way to see who else is here and to get back home...
"Heheheh, You really don't hold anything back when it come's to wanting to keep your friend's safe, do you?" A voice tells him, one that he know's but heard only a few time's...
Riku tense's up, but make's sure to be as civil since if this figure behind the voice wanted him dead, he'd be dead already...
"Well at least you know how to keep yourself from needlessly yelling, unlike your pal Sora more often than not." The voice tells him...
"Where is he? Do you know what happened to him, and could you at least talk to me face-to-face." Riku tell's the voice, being slightly annoyed at getting treated like some plaything...
He feels it more than he see's it, a pulling of darkness, coming together in such a way as if to be a mean's to bring something forth, he wonder's if he should get ready to fight when the figure show's itself. It's armored form being mostly black, with a dark grey secondary, with the visor appearing like a deep blood red material that appeared to be somewhat faded, as well as that the armor had many pit's and scratch's that Riku could only guess where from fight's against thing's that neither he nor any of the other's could claim to be ready to fight against, even with all of their power...
But what made the figure stand out even more was how he seemed to be Darkness Personified and not only that. He appeared to have some sort of link between himself and Riku...
"Who are you really? WHAT Are you really?" He asked, to which the figure gave a simple shrug.
"Does it matter? I guess you could say I'm what Vanitas could be if he didn't let himself be used as some pawn and tool for that worthless excuse for a Keyblade Master, let alone a So-Called 'Master of Darkness' I could wipe the floor with him any day, even if he had the X-Blade on his side." The figure spoke, his voice seething with rage at the action's of Xehanort, as well as making it clear that the mad Master really could not compare to the figure himself...
"Where are we?" Riku asked.
The Figure gave a slight scoff that had some slight amount of humor within it. "We're in a world that your 'Pal' Mickey and his two aide's can't reach, nor can that old Master Yen Sid of his either, what you need to know is that you, Kairi, and the rest of them aren't gonna get out just because of some Gummy ship or the like." He told Riku, as they walk along the street, the figure look's at it all and appear's to have an emotion that seem's... Conflicted, on the one end he seem's to have some amount of joy, and yet on the other he seem's to give off a sense of anger toward's something...
"This world your home?" Riku ask's, sensing the tension from his 'Companion' being rather obvious.
The figure look's at him with the feeling he is giving a rather annoyed glare at him. "No, mine met it's end long before you were even thought of, and it seem's far better than the one I left behind, that one pretty much had been asking to be allowed to end. This world just so happen's to be like a version of it." He tells Riku, with a clear sense of anger and resentment toward's whatever his 'version' of home was. Clearly it had some affect on him, and it was not one that showed any real happy memories of his time there...
"As much as I'm sure you'd like to take all the sight's in, I need to get to Sora and the other's, how do we get back?" Riku asks the figure, getting ever so slightly impatient over what was going on...
The Figure turned to look at him, his voice appearing to give the impression he was hoping to get to this topic someday...
"Straight to the point eh? I knew you'd be worth the trouble..." The figure said, clearly enjoying this...
Elsewhere...
Kairi didn't know what happened and if it was her fault or not, she didn't want have her friend's to all vanish, nor did she want to end up on some world she had no idea about, all she wanted was just to have Sora back! Was that too much to ask? He gave EVERYTHING up just so she could be able to live...
"But I don't want to live! Not if it mean's he can't be alive with me!" Kairi exclaims, sobbing at her situation, alone and afraid, with no one else to air out her grievance's, she could only cry at how it all seem's to be her fault yet again...
"It's not your fault sweetie. And while I admire the love you have for him, I don't think you should do something so crazy" A kind, feminine voice spoke, one that she recalled hearing once, long ago, right before she found herself waking up on the Island's...
"W-who are you?" Kairi ask's in between sniffle's, unsure as to who this figure was...
"Let's just say I'm part of the reason why you came back in the first place, beside's your boyfriend I mean, gotta admit though, you picked one hell of a guy." The voice said, causing Kairi to blush at the 'Boyfriend' part.
Then she saw the light begin to form, getting brighter and brighter until it solidify into a physical form...
The figure had a Feminine shape to it's armor, giving the indication that the figure made an effort to be practical, yet having a certain flair to it, the color's being a pure and kind white, with a light grey with bit's of rose pink in the mix, the visor being a kind and welcoming shade of blue, though appearing to be dimmed it still held a graceful look to itself, yet it bore mark's of battle, showing that the figure was willing to do whatever it took to protect those around her, even if it meant she had to endure the worst pain possible...
"Where are we? A-and why are you here?" Kairi asks, still crying even though she know's she shouldn't.
The figure simply took Kairi into her embrace, holding her like an older sister would for her younger sibling, the figure then spoke in a calming and reassuring tone. "It's okay, you don't have to cry anymore, you're on your way to becoming a strong young woman. I know you have it in you Kairi, as for why we are here, well. Let's just say that thing's are going on and that your Boyfriend would be needed as well as the rest of you. As to where we are..." The figure trailed off, appearing to take in all of the surrounding's around her and Kairi could feel the emotion's that the figure had, longing, sadness, yearning, and above all, remembrance of day's long gone...
"Tokyo." The name came out as little more than a Whisper, yet the emotion that came with it was as if the figure came back to her homeland after spending whole lifetime's away from it...
"Huh? I've never heard of a world called Tokyo?' Kairi ask's, curious as to why a world would be called that...
"Not a world, at least, not mine, it was really more of a City where I came from. But the world where that version existed in is no more, right around the time I came to here, the world's you call home, and all the realm's that lie between, this place isn't the same as the one from my childhood, if I can even call that anymore, it's been so long..." The figure spoke, she seemed to have a feeling of pain when bringing up the world she said was her home, and of the memories associated with it...
Kairi knew she wanted to know more about who this figure was, but she could tell their where more pressing matter's to contend with.
"Can you get me to Sora? I feel like he's here with me, I don't know how, but I just KNOW he's here, please. I want to get back home." Kairi tells the figure, asking question's can wait, right now she just want's to be with her friend's again...
The Figure appeared to have a humored tone in her voice when she spoke, "Well okay then, of course the way back isn't going to be easy, not to mention having a lot of pain along the way, but if that's what you want, so be it..."
All three of the Destiny Island Trio had a goal set in sight, they where certain of where they needed to go, now all they had to do was get their in one piece...
And yet on the rooftop's of one of the Skyscraper's, a Figure in a Black coat was holding his hand's out toward's the full moon, going so far as to make a Heart with his hand's, though it would be easy to write off a figure as simply being aloof and unaware, he knew EXACTLY what was going on, and he couldn't wait to see what would happen next, "Well now, thing's should get REAL interesting soon, I can't help but feel like rooting for those kid's, if only cause I'd like to see how they stack up." He went ahead and took a look at the trio, or rather at the armored figure's accompanying them. Underneath his cloak, the man couldn't help but grin at the sight he saw, "For what it's worth, I'd be glad to see you guys finally get something worthwhile in the end. Hold on, I see the three of you, where's the-" He got cut off when he felt a blade pointing against his back, he turned around slowly to see who the figure was, her Armor was not unlike the one that was with Riku, though with a feminine shape to it, as well as having maroon alongside the dark grey in spot's, the visor being of a slightly lighter color compared to his own...
"Mind telling me why you aren't partnered up with someone?" The cloaked man asked.
"The one I'd be with isn't here yet, but she'll be here soon." The figure told him.
"Hmm, now who could that be? OH! I know, it's that one who they kept calling a Pu-" The Man was saying before he got cut off by having a blade pressed staging his face.
"Don't call her that, you know as well as I do and the other's that she isn't really one." The figure said with a slight edge in her tone, making it apparent that she did not take such word's kindly...
The man simply gave a slight chuckle at her, making sure to move away from her blade. "Yeah, well you guy's know how all of this work's, don't you?" He said.
"Yeah we do, which is why we're done letting other's screw around with us and all of them." She simply said.
"I know what you guy's are planning, and I'm rooting for you, and I know he'd be willing to as well." The man told her.
"Even though we are going up against him and the other's? Really?" She said, honestly surprised at his response.
"Well yeah, I'm kinda getting tired of them just going by the book all the time, know what I mean? I mean sure for a time it did help, but now, I think it's time we let you guy's decide how to live your live's, and beside's, you guy's know what's coming as well as he and I do. it's only fair we toughen them all up a fair bit, I'd like to see what they are capable of, they surprised be before, I'm sure they will do so again." The man told her, the figure seemed to ponder it for a moment, before speaking again...
"Wait, so you where PLANNING on having them make a new worldline and defy what was written?" She said, impressed somewhat on the hunch all four of them had after having had observed them for so long.
The man simply gave a shrug and said "Yep, i know it might seem crazy to do so, but I figured they could do it if given a chance, and you guys have done more than enough to deserve your own chance."
The figure simply said "Like any of us are worth going through all this trouble over, seem's kinda needless if you ask me, we know what we where getting ourselves into, so do you really believe that we are worth any of this?"
The man just told her "Please, while my old student's went ahead and messed everything up, you guys went out of your way to fix thing's after the dust settled, I'd say it would be fair payback."
The man then went ahead and walked away, while the figure could only stand there and go over everything that was said...
"The only one's who'd deserve it are the one's with the Princess of heart and her Boyfriend, but knowing them, they'd rather have it for me and him instead, whatever you guy's are planing, it must mean something for you guy's to go out of your way." She thought...
While she was thinking over what was being planned on, she felt a newcomer's presence, one that she was waiting for and glad she didn't have to wait any longer...
A/N: So, what do you guys think? I know it Might be much to just go ahead and change it all, but if you think about it then it does make sense, at least on some level, now I'm sure you guys can guess who the guy in the black coat was, as for everything else, it'll come to me when it does. Later's!
