Blood and Water
- - - The old saying goes "blood is thicker then water" I never really understood what
that meant until now. How could I? How can anyone understand that blood is far far
thicker then water and the bonds of blood are far far stronger the bonds of love? It is that
bond of sickeningly thick blood that draws me back to Him over and over. It is that
horrible thick blood that pulls me away from the sweet water. It is funny how strong a
hold blood has. We need water to live. With out it all our blood means nothing. But over
and over again through the long centuries man has chosen blood over water. I did.
- - - I loved them like brothers. They were the sweetest water I had ever drunk. They
filled me like nothing else in this world. They filled me more then my blood ever had.
When He came with his thick blood and asked us to fallow him I agreed. I ran away from
the fountain and into a bleeding heart.
- - - Blood is so thick and heavy, like my father's hands. Water is thin, soft, and
gentle, like Lance's fingers. Lance's fingers were so delicate and strong. They were
lover's fingers, father's love, brother's love, husband's love. My father's fingers are
thick, and hard. They are the fingers of a fighter and hater. I left Lance with his fingers
like rivers for the thick fingered blood.
- - - My father's eyes are always a little mad. The edge of his vision tinged red with
blood-lust. Freddy's eyes were deep and calm, like a deep blue lake. He always saw
things clearly. He wasn't a genius but he saw things clearly as they were. He saw the
blood rimmed eyes of Magneto as clear as day. I did not see them, blinded by the blood
pouring out of my eyes like tears. He sees more truthfully then Magneto ever will. After
all water is in the end translucent allowing everything to be seen well blood is opaque
leaving everything to the imagination.
- - - Todd had an imagination to astound anyone. His mind was vast as an ocean, dark
and troubled as one too. He was a genius, artistically, mathematically, in everything. His
mind could hold so much so many different thoughts and ideas. Magneto's mind had one
thought and one direction, like veins of blood. Moving forwards always with one
purpose. Todd's mind crashed against the shore of every coast well Magneto simply
pumped through his own body unaware of anything outside it until pain broke the skin
and he flowed into world to break other people's skin. And I left that. I left that wide,
beautiful mind for the closed hate that circulates though Magneto like blood.
- - - The sweet water of their life poured down the stairs like a waterfall. It spread over
the floor like flood. It swirled down the drain like a whirlpool, pulling everything in with
it. Well blood ran down my face like tears leaving a sticky trail over my cheek. Then he
lay his thick hand on my shoulder and smiled. "Good Job". Blood is thicker then water.
