Angel of Vengeance
Chapter 1: The Beginning
Disclaimer: I am not gonna repeat any of this so listen up! Redwall is
owned by Brian Jacques. I am not Brian, heck; I'm not even on the same
continent as the man so thank you, and enjoy (*cough cough*)
Sitting in the sweet forest air of Mossflower was heaven for the young otter babe named Javen. His whole family, made up of his Father, mother, and himself, were enjoying themselves in the midsummer atmosphere. Each otter blissfully unaware of the future's quickly unwinding events.
"Javen you young thieve! Stop swipin' mommy's pies!" Javen's mom, Ming, exclaimed.
The benign (a/n: white, for your literary challenged people =P) otter ran around the camp with mischievous grin on his maw.
"Hehehe!" Javen laughed "Daddy no catches me!"
"You little bugger, come back here!" Aliotto the Javelin called.
Aliotto reached down and swept up Javen in one paw, both father and son collapsed from fits of laughter. These joyful games carried on till evening and on toward dusk. Laughter, carried on wind, shifted through the trees of the forest and out onto open ground.

Redwall Abbey was just settling down for dinnertime when a loud knock on the gates could be heard. A young hog maid opened the gate nonchalantly, have grown up in times without any evil happenings. Outside 12 cloaked figures stood rigid in the dying sunlight.
"H-h-hello?" Said the timid maid, Sherri, "W-welcome to Redwall Abbey"
"Is the Abbess Holley around" Asked the first character, standing outward from the group.
"Y-y-y-y-yess, lemme go get her" The hog turned around and started making her way back to the Abbey when the strangers voice turned her round once more.
"And, my child, please don't be afraid of us," He said, uncovering his face. "We're just a motley crew of squirrels." He then smiled cheerfully, installing confidence back in the young one.
The Abbess sat at the head of the long dining table where everyone had gathered.
She was in a gentle conversation with a mole when the maid showed up.
"Um…Excuse me Abbess, but, you have some visitors." ShawlSpoik, for that was what the hog maid's name was, said.
"Whom, may I ask?" Replied the Abbess, standing up.
"A score or so of squirrels, all in cloaks."
"My my, so he's found himself this far north now has he…" The Abbess whispered under breath.
Outside, Holley approached the fellow squirrels in a jovial manner. The head squirrel, who had talked to ShawlSpoik, stepped forward toward the Abbess with a smile upon his face.
"How long has it been Holley, my dear" Began the male squirrel, in the same jovial attitude Abbess Holley walk over with.
"Nine, Ten years maybe? What have you been up to this whole time Modesto the Wanderer?"
"Oh, the same old, same old what about you Abbess Holley."
"You noticed…" said the Abbess giggling. "This job is far from traveling all over, I've really settled down. Speaking of that, when are you gonna settle down my friend?"
"Before you get to that, would you like to invite us inside?" Modesto said nodding to his companions. "It is getting rather chilly out here in the evening air."
(A/N: Well was it good? Review, this is my first time writing a fic, so this outta be good to see how it turns out. Any and all criticism is accepted.)
