The baby was going to be born! Shang felt excited. Then amused. And then he felt he was going to be sick. Of course, he was beside his wife..but..he did beg the doctor to give him a thumbs up notice when things were about to get..erm..slimy persay.
The General of China's Imperial Army, was kneeling beside his wife, her hand almost strangling his own hand while he kept silent, silently suffering from all the pain. And her nails..why didn't he tell her to cut her nails? They sank deep in his flesh. And it HURT.
"Shang." She whispered suddenly, her voice hoarse from all the shaking and the pain.
"Yes?" He answered, trying to keep calm, yet nervously glancing at the doctor which was pacing around and making little notes on his board..much like Chi Fu..
"I hate you. I hate you so much I'm going to kill you once the baby's out." And with that, she squeezed his hand even tighter, as another contraction kicked in.
Shang wasn't surprised, nor hurt by her statement. But utterly amused.
"I know. But let me see the kid before you do okay?"
