They are standing there, the aeons, these hopes of empty men, in front of her. She wonders if Tidus can see them, knows he can, knows what must happen when the aeons are gone. They are waiting for her to release them, from their prison and the spiral, from the sacrifices they made, a thousand years ago.

She cannot cry, because they deserve their freedom, these humans who pass all understanding, who sleep entombed in crystal, dreaming fierce, wild dreams.

The fayth are leaving her. They walk off the edge, buoyed on clouds of pyreflies, and they are singing, and it is beautiful, their prayer, but no longer empty, now full of joy and peace and love.

'Nobomenu, renmiri-'

She chokes on a sob, and whispers vainly, not knowing if they will hear,

"I'll see you again, at the end of all things."

She hopes- believes- they do.
