This one was written for a friend, at her request for some Duo/Trowa lovin'. :)
He's comfortable, slouched across the couch waiting for Trowa to get back; perfect. Surprisingly, there's something worth watching on television, and the sofa is comfortable – Trowa made a point of it, so Duo would be comfortable when he used to come to stay before he moved in and they started sleeping in the same bed. So he's happy, cosy even, waiting for his lover to get home.
The rattle of keys in the door and Duo reaches for the controller, turning the television off quick as a flash. He closes his eyes, turning his head into the pillow and relaxing – he knows Trowa loves to see him comfortable, has caught him watching him sleep sometimes.
"Duo?" Trowa's voice makes shivers run up and down Duo's back; deep and quiet, always with that faint accent that Duo can hear but can't name.
He doesn't answer, stays quiet. He can hear the clatter as Trowa drops his keys on the side, the creak of leather as he takes off his jacket, hanging it up. "I know you're awake," he says, amusement tinting his voice warm.
Duo doesn't open his eyes, but he smiles, turning onto his back again, stretching a little. "You always do."
"I know you that well, I guess." Trowa comes to sit on the tiny portion of sofa he's left. Duo moves his legs so Trowa has got more room, lifting one over Trowa's head to wrap both round his waist and pull him closer.
"Only 'cause I let you know me."
"Yeah," Trowa says, nodding, his fingers tracing along Duo's jaw before he leans over, awkwardly, kissing him very lightly from the distance imposed by Duo's legs holding him.
"Good day?"
"It was okay," Trowa's voice still warm, his breath blowing faintly over Duo's face. "It's better now I'm home."
Duo smiles, opening his eyes and sitting up to catch Trowa's lips with his own. "Sappy bastard."
"I love you, too," he says, smiling.
