I looked around to see if anyone was there. I quickly slipped the note into her locker. I gave a sigh and left the halls. Everyone was in the canteen. I was pretty confident that not even Ukon would be in the halls. No one would be.
I walked towards the canteen, hoping to catch a glimspe of her.
To my dismay, I couldn't spot her in the canteens. Tayuya called me to our table, the table we usually sit at.
"The fuck were you?" She asked.
"Somewhere. Why does it matter?" I smirked at her.
"It doesn't, dipshit." She turned away. Kimmimaro and Ukon looked at us. Kimmimaro raised an eyebrow.
"Really, all jokes aside. Where were you, Sakon?" Ukon asked.
"Toilet." I replied as casual as I could.
"Really?" It was Ukon who raised an eyebrow now.
"Yeah." I swear, I had sweat so much it was getting hot in there. Even though the air-conditioner was totally fucking cold.
"Well, works for me. Lets eat!" Ukon grinned.
I sighed at my twin. He was such an idiot sometimes.
Lunch break was over and we all had to get back to class. I looked around and again I could not find her.
Tayuya eyed me questioningly.
"Hey, you okay?" She asked.
"Yeah.. yeah." I muttered.
"Whatever.. weirdo." She murmered softly but loud enough for me to hear.
The class went on as usual. But, to me, it felt empty without her around.
The next day, I saw her.
She looked terrible. She had bruises all over her body, her hair was a mess and her lips.. Oh, those beautiful lips.
She looked torn and tattered. But somehow, she was still beautiful.
She saw me staring at her.
"The fuck you looking at?" She growled.
I didn't reply. I just looked at her.
"I said, what the fuck are you looking at?" She asked one more time, venom dripping from her words.
Eyes, never leaving hers, I stroke her cheek. I was glad no one was around.
She froze for a moment, before pushing me away.
"What the fuck are you doing?" She growled. Tears forming in her eyes.
"It was Orochimaru, wasn't it?" I calmly asked her. I pulled her into a gentle embrace.
She didn't reply. Instead she just sobbed into my chest. Wetting my shirt.
"Shh.. I'm here. I'm here. He can't hurt you."
"I-its so fucking pathetic. You know?" She looked up at me. Eyes filled with hatred and anger. Yet so broken and empty.
"Me. I couldn't even.. stand up to his.. fucking beatings." She chuckled while saying that.
And I didn't know what dared me to do it. But I kissed her. She didn't move for 2 seconds.
But she kissed me back.
I was fucking happy. And we stayed like that for a good 3 minutes.
"I'll help you get over it, Mitarashi. Don't you worry."
"Anko." She whispered, blushing.
"Hm?" I smiled.
"Call me Anko."
