Author's Note: I don't own Pokemon. You should be glad. It would be angsty and very militaristic. Child soldiers and the like. "Poke'Wars" kinda stuff. That's a good series, by the way. You should read it.

She is in Unova. She is at least a hundred miles from Sinnoh, much less wherever he is. The blue haired girl closed her eyes, letting the breeze play with her hair. He would not control her, would not influence her, would not exist to her. Parasitic life forms often had the most exciting interactions, but they faded in the daylight whereas her new pursuit shined bright as the coming-

"Dawn."

Speaking of newest pursuit, Dawn turned around, still in her pajamas. Iris was in hers as well. She grinned. Despite being shorter, she was older than Dawn. The dark skinned girl approached the foreigner, hugging her. "Hey, kid, you coming to go swim with me or what?" They had both agreed to start the day with a morning swim before either of the boys or Cynthia awoke.

Dawn nodded. "No need to worry! We won't be late." She shuffled back in to bath and prepare herself before slipping into a bikini. Iris did the same. "You're cute, kid."

"Really?" Dawn was always a sucker for compliments.

A dark shadow cast over them, and Iris was the first to get up, expecting to see Ash. She opened her mouth to insult and berate, but closed it promptly as her brows furrow. She instead bit out harsher words. "Who the heck are you!"

The boy ignored her, staring straight at a now blushing Dawn. "Purple," he said simply before shrugging his backpack higher and walking away. "Don't let me see you again."

Iris gritted her teeth as he walked away. "What's his problem?"

Dawn sat up, sighing. "I threw a fight over that question once.
