"I have just about had it with you!" screamed Vaati, his red eyes narrowed to slits, thrusting spells out in every direction in an attempt to land a hit on Dark Link. His lavender hair billowed around him like a soft, plush veil.
"Vaati, your hair is so beautiful! Let me play with it!"
"Get away from me!" Vaati screeched, horror igniting in his eyes. "Just...just go! Agh!"
"C'mon Vaati. Just let me smell it~" Dark purred, traipsing forward seductively.
"Nooo!"
A few more spells were cast but each one Dark either deflected or dodged, as Dark continued to attempt to get close to the sorcerer. Finally, Vaati grit his teeth angrily, an irritated smile creeping onto his lips.
He dropped to the ground and parried, shooting a spell that bounced off Dark's sheild that he had raised mid somersault.
"Ha! You missed - " Dark began his taunt, but before the entire sentence could slither out of his mouth, he was struck by Vaati's next conjuration of magic.
"To stone with you!" Vaati hissed, blushing slightly.
...But purple and red smoke engulfed the body of Dark, hiding his pale skin and black hair from view. His red eyes blended into the light of the magic, and Vaati's jaw dropped when he realized that instead of Dark's body being seemingly coated in stone, he was significantly smaller and covered in fur.
"I...I...what!" Vaati roared.
Stepping out from the body of haze, was a black cat with crimson eyes.
"I will destroy you, Vaati..! - ! CUCCO!"
The enlarged pupils of Dark-cat transfixed on the moving form of a cucco in the distance.
Vaati watched, eye twitching, as the shadow- demon-turned-cat bounded off into the sunset, the cucco he was chasing squawking loudly; his purple hair fell smoothly onto his shoulders and behind his back, and he facepalmed, more exasperated than he had ever been in his life.
