One More Thing to Ask
By: Bridgette
Everything I'm showing
Isn't from the heart.
The happiness and laughing
Is tearing me apart.
There is a piece of me
Deep down in my soul
That wants to have a future
That's all pure and whole.
I know that I can't have it
But that doesn't stop me dreaming.
Though that's all I'll ever get
'Cause death is where I'm leaning.
But then you showed me something
That I had ever known
You brought light to my dark
And let me know I'm not alone.
You've shown me I have a future
And that I control my life
But I've got one thing left to ask:
Will you be my wife?
