The breeze blew his long coat gently against his legs, it smelled of flowers and faintly of the incoming rain. His blue eyes reminisced in the days ago. Where the world was safe from the constant Ultron attacks, and people could look up into the sky and see hope. Though that wasn't the world James Rogers lived in. The people were in poverty and lived in the remnants of crumbled buildings. There was barely enough food to go around, and the population numbers were diminishing fast.

"Hey Mom." He spoke, his voice ragged. Due to the fact that he hadn't spoke in a while. There was really no need. All of his team was dead. James pulled out a bouquet of flowers, specifically red, white and blue roses. Grown by Tony Stark.

"Mommy!" The little two year old James teetered into the room and jumped on the bed. A smile graced across her face as he pushed her bedridden hair out of her face.

"James! Wait!" Steve came into the room and sighed.

"Daddy!"

"It was supposed to be a surprise James." Steve said kindly and Natasha smiled.

"Sowy Daddy." He said, giving him the same puppy dog eyes he owned. Man, this really was his son.

"It's okay." Steve furthered himself in the room bearing gifts, and a bouquet of red, white and blue roses. James excitedly jumped off the bed and ran over taking the gifts from his fathers hands. And returned to his mother holding them out. A grin spreading across his tiny face.

"Happy Mudders Day Mommy!" He said struggling.

"Thank You James, ooh! What's this?"

"A pitcher!"

"A picture?" She asked.

"Yeah!" Natasha looked it over. "This is me, and you and daddy!" The picture also included his various Uncles and Aunts all standing outside the tower.

"It's beautiful kid." She smiled and placed a kiss to the top of his head.

"Daddy. Fowers."

"Flowers, baby." Natasha emphasized.

"Happy Mothers Day, Nat." Steve said softly giving her a gentle peck. He handed her the flowers, and a small box.

"Steve, you shouldn't have."

"Open it." He urged with a smile. She opened it, revealing two tickets. They were tickets for a trip to Europe.

"Steve..."

"All the team pitched in... Tony more than the others. We haven't left the tower since James was born."

"What about James?"

"He's got his Uncle Tony to look after him with the other kids. He'll be fine Nat."

"Alright, when do we leave?"

"Next Week."

"Happy Mudders day!" James said again with a smile.

"Thank You James." She spoke lifting the small child into her arms."I love you."

"I wove you too mommy!"

"I love you mom." James spoke tears forming in his eyes. "I love you too dad." He pulled a folded object out from his pocket. Around one edge it was singed, but he could tell what it was, and no doubt his mother would be able to as well. James finally let the tears fall as he set the picture and flowers on the gravestone in front of him. He placed a hand on the headstone.

"Happy Mudders Day."
