Zarina carried all of her multicolored pixie dust into her house that night, exhausted. She just came back from her performance at the Four Seasons Festival. Everyone was delighted by her talent of Pixie Dust Alchemy put into action. The former pirate had been welcomed back to Pixie Hollow and couldn't be happier. Now Zarina could use her unique skills to help everyone. But one thing was nagging at her heart.

She just couldn't understand why James had betrayed her. They could have plundered the world together and run off together. Zarina had held James in a special place in her heart. She had hoped that someday he would return her feelings and become more than just friends. Memories of times with him hit her.

James was in the Captain's Quarters with Zarina, watching her mix up a new type of pixie dust. "So what kind of dust are you making now, Captain?" he asked. Captain Zarina jingled back. "So this time you're making green tinker dust," replied James. "Brilliant!" He watched eagerly as she added metal scraps, or what fairies call 'lost things' to a bowl of pixie dust. Then, she added the tiniest particle of blue dust o the mixture. The dust turned green with an explosion. Zarina took some of the green dust and ran her hand over a bent pin. It was magically repaired by the dust.

"Wow! Now we have six kinds of fairy dust! Can you make more of the tinker kind?" James asked. Zarina nodded and started to gather materials for more. But then she shook her head.

Zarina said, "I'm sorry, James, But I ran out of blue dust. I only had one speck to start out with, so I was very short of it."

"Could you get more?"

"The only place to get pixie dust is in Pixie Hollow. But I can't just ask for it. No one wants me there. And I can't just fly in there and grab the dust. I could get caught!"

"You're a pirate now, Zarina. You can do something to prevent the fairies from finding out about this. Besides, you promised to make me, the crew, and our ship fly."

They talked about ways to get the blue pixie dust from the fairies. The plan they came up with was very clever, but had to be carried out when all the fairies were in the same place.

Zarina sighed. He was charming, or at least she thought he was. "I loved him, and he betrayed me!" she said to herself. James was cunning, and was just using her. He could have still fulfilled his dream without betraying her. She wept heavily for hours. But after a long time, Zarina realized that if he hadn't betrayed her, she would have never been able to be reunited with her Pixie Hollow friends or welcomed back home, and she definitely preferred living live as a Pixie Dust Alchemist than a pirate captain. With this thought in mind, she fell asleep.

What do you think? This is my first fanfic so please leave a review. I do not tolerate flames.

Author's note: I have seen some reviews asking for an update. To those who want me to update, I'm sorry, but this story is complete. But I hope to post more one-shots in the future. After I do a few one-shots, I might start writing longer stories.
