A Tradition Begins
Tutorial Tom sat and waited for something exiting to happen. Nothing ever occurs during the middle of the day, forcing complete boredom. Picking up a pencil and tapping a beat didn't help at all. Tap tap tap tap tap tap. The same dreary pattern reflected his boredom into the atmosphere. Tap tap tap tap tap tap. It continued. It didn't stop for a while. Tap tap tap tap tap tap.
Suddenly, there was a knock at his door. It pounded furiously, almost seemingly trying to break down the door. Tom scooted off his chair and scurried to the door, anxious to see who it might be. He whipped it open just before the knocker could pound once more. Tom was confused; it was a Flunky. What could he want?
"Let me in!" the Flunky pleaded as he forced himself past Tutorial Tom.
Tom pushed him back out. "No," he commanded. "No Cogs allowed!"
"But, please! If I can't find someplace to hide, this toon might try and destroy me!" He pointed out towards the street. A toon was just exiting. Most likely his "threat" got bored and left.
"Go away, Flunky. Toons don't like Cogs." Tutorial Tom motioned with his finger for the Flunky to leave. With his head hanging low with hatred towards toons, he vanished.
Tutorial Tom huffed to himself and sat back down. Tap tap tap tap tap tap. No cog could change his mood. Tap tap tap tap tap tap. He needed to be fresh for when the new toon came. Tap tap tap tap tap tap.
Then she came. She was a light blue horse, with sparkling eyes and everything. Her appearance lightened up Tom's mood.
"Welcome to Toontown!" he greeted.
The horse scratched her head. "What was the yelling for?" she asked.
"A Cog," he spat. "Defeat them with harshness. They are dreaded among all."
The horse nodded, understanding his words. "I see. And how exactly do I defeat these cogs?"
Tutorial Tom cupped his hands around a small object and handed it her her in a secretive way. "Now go," he said, "you have all you need."
She nodded her head once more and exited the building.
Tom sat in his chair and waited.
Screams were heard.
There was a battle.
Right outside his office was the battlefield where many toons will fight and where many will win.
There was dancing. There was happiness.
There was silence.
Tap tap tap tap tap tap.
