Disclaimer: I don't own Pokemon or any of its characters

A tiny chespin opened their eyes, and immediately shut them again. Every thing was bright, and cold. There was loud noise everywhere, there could be danger everywhere. They started crying out loudly, hoping it would make it all stop. It didn't.

"Aw, you poor thing," something said. Suddenly, something warm grabbed both of their sides, only making them cry out even louder. They stopped once they were enveloped in warmth, and the only sound was a soft, rhythmic beating.

"Buzzy, don't you want to see your son?" the same something said. The warmth and safety was gone again. They wailed even louder than before. They were helpless to stop the warmth from disappearing again.

Sharp things poked their back. Screaming louder was all they could do.

"He doesn't seem to like me," a different something said. It was louder than the other, warmer something.

"Don't be ridiculous, Buzz. All newly hatched pokemon are like that. You're just being too uncertain," yet another something said.

It was still cold and loud and bright. Wailing wasn't changing anything. They had to know how to stop it all. They had to see for themselves. Their eyes opened only enough to let in a slit of brightness. Not enough to see the somethings. What if there was nothing but brightness and coldness for forever and ever? They had to see for themselves. They let more brightness flood the darkness.

"Isn't he adorable?" the original something said. Would the warm something save them from the cold something and the other something? They had to see for themselves. They opened their eyes completely.

Everything…

Was…

Everything was brighter than the brightness that blinded them.

Everything was darker than their eyes shut tight.

Everything was colder than the cold something.

Everything was warmer than the warm something.

Everything was bigger, and greater, and more colorful than…

"Aw, he's opened his eyes," the other something said. The other something was more colorful than everything around itself. The cold something that held them, towered over everything around itself. The warm something was the greatest sight that they would ever lay eyes upon. They were as tall as the cold something, but was as colorful as the other something.

The warm something looked at them, and said, "I think his name will be… Chester."

Author's Note: I want to finish my other story, Morgan, before I continue this. I just wanted to write this so badly. So check out that story out if you haven't. And just to clarify, Shauna was the warm something, Buzz the chesnaught was the cold something, and Cress the musharna was the other something.
