"Stefan? What's wrong?" Elena asked him nervously.

He had called her over to discuss something about Klaus, and she was dead nervous. But Stefan however didn't look the least bit nervous, in fact, he was quite calm . . . and looked suspiciously happy? Though he didn't show it." Well, Elena. The reason I called you here was to talk about the whereabouts of Klaus . . ." he said while he looked at her.

Elena was pale. Oh god please let him not be in Mystic Falls, she thought.

And as reading her thoughts Stefan said," he is in Mystic Falls."

She gasped. In fact she tried her best to hold back the sobs. She actually failed. She cried and cried. And oddly enough, Stefan did nothing to comfort her. He just sat there watching her with slight amusement.

Elena looked up at him with confusion." Why, do you look so relaxed? The man who is going to kill me is in Mystic Falls. He could be coming right now!" she demanded.

But Stefan just sat there, as cool as a cucumber." Well, the thing is . . ." he said.

Elena got the message.

"No, Stefan! You didn't call him." She cried.

"Oh, but I did." He said, mindlessly.

And with that he fell to the floor. He had been staked in the heart from behind. She screamed.

And there standing behind Stefan was Klaus. With his not-so-blonde hair and icy blue eyes he didn't look half bad. But to Elena he just screamed 'danger'." Ahh, you must the beautiful Elena." He said in a menacing voice.

Her heart was pounding. Elena knew nothing else to do but run.

She got up quickly and ran to the door but just as she was about to open the door. Klaus was there and he pushed her harshly against the wall. Elena let out a cry of pain." Don't think you can escape from me," He said with slight anger." Your dear Stefan was quite useful in the situation. He didn't give you away on purpose. I compelled him!"

Elena for the first time looked in his eyes with fear." Y-you can c-compel vampires?" she said with a sob.

He nodded in a menacing way.

"You're not like Katrina; you fear me and you should." He whispered in her ear.

Elena saw the opportunity, when Klaus' guard was down. So she kicked him away from her and ran toward Stefan. Elena grabbed the stake from his back. Luckily Klaus didn't see this but he did see her leaning over Stefan." Nothing can save him now, little girl. He's dead." He smiled.

When Elena got up, Klaus was standing so close that she her body nearly toughed his.

Then she quickly staked Klaus in the heart and he fell to the ground. For a while she just stared at him. But then she noticed that he started to move slightly. How can this be? I staked him!, she thought.

Without blinking she ran outside to her car. When she got to her car she fumbled around for the key." Elena!" she heard a shout from the house. Fearing for her friends and family she looked for the key harder and eventually found it. She raced into the car and sped away, just as Klaus came out the door. Through the window she could hear his loud shout and the precise words he said:" you won't get far, Elena!".
