Sailing in Pirate Waters

Prologue
She was a princess. A lonely princess, riding upon her horse with two elven guards following close behind her. Her waist-long hair swaying back and forth in the wind, and her white dressed draped over her steed. She looks back frequently to find, of course, they are still trailing behind her. Her deep blue eyes and long dark eye lashes looking around at the scenery in front of her. She turns her head back around. She bits her lip and ponders her next form of action.
"Good sirs," she starts. "Might I inquire your reason to follow me so closely when we are still on castle grounds." She looks up at the vast castle on her left, they also look over at the structure. One of the blonde- haired guards with the bow and arrows strapped to his back quickly turned back to the princess.
"Your majesty, it is our duty to protect you at all costs. May it be on castle grounds, or may it be far past the oceans and into Nilrem."
"But Nilrem isn't such a bad place at all. I have a cousin there. He is good to me. And if shall I ever go there, he shall protect me." Her words trying to get through to her guards.
"We understand that princess," starts the other elven guard with a sword at his waist. "But the journey there would be far dangerous, and Nilrem alone has not completely been charted. Why else would King William have you to stay in the castle grounds?"
"That is too bold, sir. And now, if I might have a moment alone-"
"I am afraid that that will not be possible," the first guard stated. The Princess looked at him.
"And tell me why not. I am a princess. And not to be like most other princess who are stuck-up and bratty, but I would like to inquire why such a comment would be even uttered from your mouth which stands at such a low rank and position in the Royal Court. Last time I checked, you weren't in the Royal Court. If your not, how then can you tell me that having a moment alone would not be at all possible. So if you please, let me go alone, in peace." The princess said, trying to contain her voice in a poised manner. "And that's an order."
"Princess," began the second guard. "I understand that it is not my place to comeback on a princess' order."
"Correct, sir," the princess stated.
"Right." he started again. "But it is the will of the council that you stay inside castle grounds. Guarded."
"Well then, if that be the case, I must be on my way. With that she turned her horse back the way she came and broke into a fast gallop. Her white dress flowing behind her in the wind.
The two guards watched her gallop away, then looked at each other and
sighed.
