The Dance of Martial Arts
Long ago there lived a master of Martial Arts. This master was known throughout the land and was very popular with young people who wanted to learn to fight. When strangers passed through, they wanted to know who this stranger was and where they came from. Once they found this master, they were very surprised to find a woman.
You see, in these lands, no one knew of any female teachers, of any types. Usually, women weren't educated and were only there to birth and raise a family. But this woman, who goes by the name of Silvana, was taught by her father the art of self defense. Silvana's father was notorious for his fighting skills.
Silvana's mother had an arranged marriage when she was very young. But sadly, her husband fell ill with smallpox and died soon after they were married. Silvana's mother, Nadia, ran away and found Silvana's father, who had amnesia from a terrible fall from a cliff. Nadia gave the suggestion of Silver for his name because of his silver-blond hair and silver-blue eyes. He agreed with the name because he could not remember his true given name.
Silver and Nadia soon got married and had a child, Silvana. One day when Silvana was only about a year old, Silver noticed Silvana was copying his fighting moves almost perfectly. He then decided to teach her martial arts, knowing she could make a change in the world.
Silvana now teaches martial arts to those who want to learn it and defends her village from bandits and samurai. Her village is called Etamura (In English, 'Eta' means an abundance of defilement or an abundance of filth.) Silvana protected them from people trying to destroy their 'defilement'. The villagers were usually outcasts from other villages who now thrive in Etamura.
Then, one day, Silvana met a man who came from the village of Edo, who said he came to make a new start. Silvana and the man, whose name she found out to be Eiji (In English: great peace or prosperity), soon formed a relationship built on mutual respect. Soon after, as Silvana was strolling through the forest, she found a deceased Eiji tied to a noose, dangling from a tree. Unable to contain her rage, Silvana followed the horse tracks left on the forest floor. As she circled around a tree, she felt something hit her in the back of her head and everything went dark.
A few hours later, Silvana awoke to many bandits in her face. Her hands were tied and she could feel the ropes rubbing against her skin, irritating it. She scowled at the men surrounding her and saw one grin and pull out a long sword. He put it to her neck and she saw the glint of a pistol in his back pocket. With the skill that only a Martial Arts master could obtain, Silvana swept her bound legs through the air, gripping the pistol's trigger with her bare toes and firing, shooting not only through the man's leg, but also into her own stomach. Most of the bandit men rushed over and began to beat her to death with spiked clubs that bit into her tender flesh. As she felt the spikes tear into her skin, she grinned wickedly and whispered a witch's curse, making the whole hut disappear into thin air. No one knows what became of Silvana, but if you look up into the sky around the summer time, you can almost connect the stars to see a woman's figure, doing the ancient dance of Martial Arts.
Our Language arts teacher wanted us to do this, So I decided to post it on Fanfiction! It was submitted to the Young Author's Club, but I don't know what happened to it. xD
