She was panting. Her husband stood at the other end of the room with the doctors. He looked so happy.
She was too. Despite her exhaustion she felt so happy it was like she had seen an angel.
Her husband came over carrying something very precious to her.
"And this is your Mommy," he whispered softly. She sighed as she took her daughter in her arms.
But when she did tears entered her eyes. She was so beautiful. The tuft of brown hair on her sweet head. Her little nose. Her little hands and feet. She was sleeping though so she could not see her eyes. But she figured they would be beautiful.
Her husband smiled ruffling the baby's hair. She smiled and her mother's heart melted. But as fast as happiness came so did another emotion. Sorrow.
"So what are we calling the little angel?" the doctor asked. Her husband met her eyes. They nodded.
"Trucy," she said. "Her name is Trucy."
"Trucy Enigmar than," the doctor said.
The mother looked at her daughter again. Tears went down her cheeks. She could not control them. Her husband looked worried.
"Honey are you ok?" he asked.
"S-She's just so beautiful," she said though her tears. "A-A-And I don't deserve her." Her husband smiled at patted her head.
"Of course you do," he said leaning in for a kiss on the forehead. She looked at him and barely managed to smile.
He did not know though. The baby opened her eyes which made the mother all the more guilty. Having her daughter in her arms, looking for protection made her feel so guilty.
After all the baby's brother was an abandoned baby.
AN: So it's Valentine's Day and I'm sure authors everywhere are going to post Love pertaining to Romance (Me as well (later)) But that's not the only thing I want. How about the love a child. Therefore I am posting this little story about Trucy's birth and How Thalassa would feel. R&R and enjoy your snow outside the window.
