AN: Thanks to reviewers: Xtians Suck (I know, I don't really force my poems to rhyme, it's just that prose is not my style, and I agree totally with Trine on that. Technically, prose is not really poetry, and I personally think that prose takesa lot less effort than rhyming... but I do like to read prose. Some people have a talent for prose, and they make it sound like true poetry. I, however, do not have that talent nor vocabulary), Trine (I agree with you all the way. Thanks, you really know how to compliment and make someone's day. You sure made mine! I think it's an important point, too, and I think that's why I wrote about it so easily. Normally I have some rhyming issues with my poems), Crystal (your reviews are touching, my friend lol), USAgal (I try lol), Mrs. A. Hamilton (a Michael Jackson song wasn't exactly what I was going for, but you have a point. It did sound a lot like that), Bunny Aino (what joke? oh, you're probably talking about some of my sarcastic jokes, which can be pretty hard to understand. I took that story off, so no worries. And thanks for standing up for me. You and Trine... well, I appreciate it), almostinsane (thanks).

Oh, and Xtians Suck, Kirk Cameron is not a religious nut whose acting career went down the toilet. He's a devout Christian. And I can tell you his story that came from his own mouth (not from some magazine or gossip column in a newspaper) if you'd like. He became a Christian when he was eighteen. And actually, his acting career continued even after that, but he used it for God. The Left Behind movie series (the first two from the books) is where it continued. He just realized that his acting career and all the chicks that thought he was hot wasn't goign to get him anywhere on the day of judgement. It's not exactly how you said it, and obviously you got that from a bunch of gossip. By the way to you too, it was not plagiarism. According to my English teacher, unless I heard her wrong, I gave you the source and the authors. I did not take any credit for myself. If that was plagiarism, why didn't you report me for the Rascal Flatts quote and lyrics? I didn't write them, no, but I gave them teh credit and told everybody that it was by them, not me. Just like any report with a bibliography.

I wrote this poem who knows how long ago, and I reread it and proofed it. I remember my exasperation at being just a teen. I think I can probably still relate, and I still think that God sees me as a real person. I think this applies to everybody, actually, not just teens. If you feel like you're left out or if you're not that important, I believe that you're just as important in God's eyes as the president of the United States.

Just a Teen

According to adults

I am 'just a teen'

With explosive emotions

That age that's 'in between'

But know that I'm a person

That has feelings, just like you

I have opinions, viewpoints

It's as if you never knew

When it comes to academics

They expect me to do well

But when I give my opinion

I'm unseen, can't you tell?

I will now have you know

That I'm different to my God

I'm a living being to Him

Not just a little odd

When I come to Him in prayer

I am a person in His eyes

Not just 'another teen'

Nothing like all you guys

So will you do me a favor?

Treat me as a someone

That's what I am, want to be

Not someone with no backbone
