Authors Note: Christmas time with our favourite Scottish neighbors; The Whytes, Bairds and Of course The O'Neils. Just three short stories of Christmas eve with the families.
The Bairds-
Young Ian sat crossed legged looking up at the tree, He was still a young boy at the tender age of 11 after all
"Right! Bed time Ian, Santa's coming" Beth came through from the Kitchen
"You really think I still believe all that?" He gave his mother a cheeky grin
"Just do this for Angus, after all he still believes"
"Aye well he is only 6.. so" Ian stood up, although he wouldn't admit it he still got excited but to Angus he was the cool big brother
"You still awake?" Eric appeared from upstairs
"He's just going up to bed," Beth answered for her son "C'mon, Up you go" she motioned her hand to the door
"Alright, Night" Ian creeped up stairs
"Night son" Eric smiled
"Goodnight Ian… Right, I think we should probably head soon as well" Beth yawned

The O'Neils-
Christine was desperate for Sophie to go to bed, Christine got more excited than her daughter, Maybe because she was 14 now and 'didn't care about anything' Well so her attitude showed. Sophie sat o the chair across from her mother reading one of her teen magazine.
"So, When do you actually plan on getting your arse up to your bed?" Christine looked at the clock on the wall, it was only half past ten,
"When I'm tired" Sophie replied not taking her eyes off her magazine, Christine Rolled her eyes and gave a wee sigh,
"Well, I'll no be long till I'm in mine" She turned the television off and up she went, she almost fell asleep waiting on her daughter to get herself to bed, so that she could set the gifts downstairs that she bought and carefully wrapped for her daughter, When she knew it was time Christine sneaked down quietly with Sophies' Christmas Presents, She was in complete and utter shock when she saw that her daughter had bought gifts and set them under the tree, Christine eyes filled with tears, although she didn't admit it often she was proud of her daughter and herself for bringing up Sophie on her own.

The Whytes-
Although Cathy and Colin didn't have children yet, Christmas was still a special time for them both, Usually they like to get away somewhere exotic for the holidays but wanted to spend it in their own home this year, The living room was cosy with the Tree lit up in the corner and their fire burning under the mantelpiece, Cathy and Colin snuggled on the couch with no Television on, No Music, No sound but the wood burning in the fire, The crackling made that sweet relaxing noise which actually sent Cathy to sleep a good half hour ago or so, Colin looked at the woman with her head on his lap, he took another swig of beer from the bottle then swiped a piece of hair from her face, He closed his eyes to relax for five minutes before waking her up to get her up to bed
"Col?" Her soft, sleepy voice called out
"Hm?" He replied opening his eyes to see hers still shut
"What time is it?"
"Half Ten" Colin looked at his watch
"Is that all?" She sat up
"Here you go" He gave her the wine she was drinking earlier, there wasn't much left in the glass however she still threw it back
"I'm heading to Bed Col" Cathy stretched
"Same…Same" He too finished the contents of his bottle and traveled up to bed with his beautiful wife.
