A/N: Hey guys, new story. I was wondering what people would think if Thalia died in the Titan War and this is what I came up with. Let me know what you think. PLEASE REVIEW! Thanks to xXxWiseGirlxXx for beta-ing. (Whoa, a chapter of iPod shuffle and a new story after a week of laziness? I know, I got inspired today.)
Disclaimer: Once again, I don't own PJO.
Thalia Grace. Punk, rebel, trouble maker. Always in fights, always late, always angry with the world. Never warm, never friendly, never loved. Until, she met Luke Castellan. He opened her up to the world around her. Luke knew what it was like. His parents didn't care about him either. They understand each other. Luke was the best kind of friend. Always patient, he never snapped even when he was at his breaking point. He took Annabeth into their group in a heartbeat. He was always the first person Thalia went to when she had a problem. Lately, though, Luke hadn't been himself. He was growing farther away from Thalia and Annabeth every day. He just wasn't the same Luke they used to know.
Thalia reflected upon this as she looks at the boy in the sleeping bag next to hers. She watched his chest slowly rise and fall and listened for the steady sound of his breathing. What would happen, Thalia pondered, if she died today? If her friends woke up tomorrow morning and found her lifeless body, what would they do? Annabeth would probably want to stab something. She was unlike most seven year olds who would start sobbing at the sight of their dead best friend's body. Luke would calm her down; he always had that effect on her. Would they really care though? Wouldn't there be a sense of relief that they wouldn't have to put up with moody, aggressive Thalia anymore? Honestly, Thalia didn't know. She looked once more at the sleeping boy beside her. Luke, she thought, if I died today, would you miss me?
