SNOW
"I hate the winter" Nick groaned and looked at the younger man who just smiled at him.
"Damn Nick, how can you say that, I've always wanted to see snow, and it's great, but it's freakin' cold "
"Ellis, it's not great" He sighed. "It's cold, disturbingly white and.. it's just terrible" Ellis looked at the older man.
"Really? Thought you were used to it, never really seen snow myself" He looked at the ground. "But I've always wanted to see it! I remember when Keith and I were kids, we planned to move to a place where there was snow in the winter and.."
"Ellis.." Nick sighed.
"I know, I know! Not the right time" He grinned.
"Not what I tried to say, but" Nick chuckled.
"Oh"
"What I was trying to say was, you really miss Keith, don't you?" Nick looked at Ellis which stopped and still had his face turned to the ground.
"Kinda" He muttered, almost whispered. Then he looked at Nick. "But, you fill his space now Nick" Nick smiled a little and punched the brunette friendly in the arm.
"But that doesn't change what I feel about snow" He grinned and started to walk further.
"Oh shut it Nick!" Ellis laughed and threw a snowball at Nick, hitting him in the back of his neck.
"What the hell Ellis?" Nick cried surprised and looked at the redneck.
"I told you, snow is fun!" Ellis grinned and threw another at the older man.
"Ellis, if I where you.. I would run like hell now" Nick whispered and smirked.
"Why?" But before Ellis could think twice he was lying face first in the snow with Nick sitting on his back.
"Still fun overalls?" Nick laughed and got up. Ellis spitted out the snow from his mouth and breathed.
"Oh yeah!" Ellis got to his feet and started to gather some snow in his arms. Nick was some inches away from him. He grinned and walked carefully towards Nick.
"Are you coming Ellis?" Nick asked but yelped as he felt cold water running down his spine. "ELLIS!" Nick cried and pushed the other man to ground lying on top of him. Ellis grinned and looked at him. "You have to admit, it's a little fun right?" Nick just rolled his eyes and looked at the redneck. "Listen smartass, yes it was entertaining, but the reason I don't like snow, is because it's so damn cold, and I think I'm going to freeze to death soon!"
"Don't be a drama-queen Nicky" Ellis smiled and sighed. "But yeah, it is cold"
"Nicky?" Nick snorted and got to his feet helping the younger man up. They looked at each other for a long time. "Ellis, how come you've become so important to me?" Nick sighed. Ellis didn't answer, he just looked at the older man. They moved closer until they kissed. When they parted Ellis was blushing.
"You're right overalls, snow is great" Nick grinned. Ellis was speechless, no words caught his mind."Let's get back to the apartment, shall we?" Nick grabbed Ellis hand. Ellis just nodded.
Yes snow was great.
