A Difficult Question
For some reason every time he saw her, he wasn't able to voice the words he wanted to say. Instead he would just stare at her, silently admiring her amber eyes sparkling with humour and the way in which sunlight reflected on her long, red hair. And then he would mumble a few words that would make little sense.
"Idiot!" he scolded himself. "Is it really so hard to ask Kushina out?"
"Is it so hard, indeed?" he heard her voice behind his back.
Minato turned back immediately and his eyes widened. How could he let himself to be caught off guard in such a way? He could feel his cheeks turning red and for a short while he wished he could just disappear.
Kushina's eyes shone with amusement when she looked at him.
"Idiot, indeed," she pouted her lips.
Minato scowled.
And then Kushina smiled.
"Let's go on that date then" she said.
