A black figure walked along the side of a dark, endless ocean
The moonlight hit the figure, revealing its identity
The figure was a black hedgehog with red streaks so dark that it looks like he had bled
The hedgehog's name was Shadow and he's the ultimate life form, but the life form isn't totally different to the Mobians
One thing they had in common was sleep, and that's why Shadow was here. He was restless
Shadow sighed and sat on a large rock, his gaze lifted to the full moon and bright stars
Maria always wondered what it was like to see the moon and stars from earth, but she never and never will get the chance
Shadow gasped as something cold touched his feet. He then sighed, realizing that it was the waves swallowing his feet only. Shadow closed his eyes and smirked
Maria also wondered what the ocean was like, how it felt, how it smelled, what it sounded like and how it tasted
She never got the chance to experience and answer these questions, only Shadow did and this made him sad
On the other side of where Shadow came was another figure, only with blue fur
Our one and only hero, Sonic the hedgehog. Sonic came with the same reason as Shadow, restless
Sonic was in his bed 5 minutes ago, trying to get to sleep but the ocean was calling him
'Come here, Sonic. This is your chance, Sonic' It kept saying to him. But the chance of what exactly?
Sonic just kept walking, he liked this place. He'd come here and go somewhere no one else was and watch the waves for hours
But what if Shadow went with him? It'll be much better…Sonic shook his head immediately
Sonic had a secret crush on him ever since he first met him and his thoughts always went to him
He stopped suddenly when he heard a sigh and stepped back immediately
'There's Shadow, Sonic. Now's your chance, Sonic' the ocean sung to him
So this is what the ocean was talking about. But Sonic wasn't ready to tell him yet
Silently as he could, Sonic stepped backwards to run away but it seemed like god hated him for it and he snapped a stick in half
Shadow's head whipped round with alarm until he saw Sonic and his face softened

Shadow motioned with his hand for Sonic to sit next to him
Sonic nodded and mumbled his thanks and sat next to him
"Beautiful night, isn't it?" Shadow asked, Sonic nodded again
Shadow faced him with concern, "What's wrong Sonic? Usually you'd be yapping away but you're not. Is something wrong? Should I leave?"
Sonic was speechless, "I…no don't leave…It's just…I…I…" Sonic sighed and faced his secret lover
"Can I show you instead?" Sonic asked and Shadow shrugged, "Sure"
This was it, 'Kiss him, kiss him now!' the ocean forced him
Immediately, he crashed his face into Shadow's and lips touched lips
Shadow was taken by surprise and shock, Sonic was…kissing him, he loved him
A spark lit in Shadow's heart. What was it? It was love, he loved Sonic and Sonic loved him back and it was so clear
They broke the kiss to breathe, "I love you, Shadow" Sonic explained and Shadow smiled, "I love you too"
Something caught Sonic's eyes and he saw something in the in the sky, "Shadow, look" he pointed above of them
Shadow looked up to see a heart made of stars, "Well this is our story when we confessed our love, Star Heart" Sonic said and looked at his lover, Shadow looked at him
They leaned in and kissed passionately and this time. The Star Heart's stars glowed brighter
