Today was the day of our first ANBU mission
I say our because we had been partnered up together
Hyuuga Hinata And Uchiha Sasuke
Our mission was to travel to the farthest border of the fire country
To protect against invaders and unwanted settlers
As we jumped and lurched through the trees surrounding Konoha
Sasuke looked at me
And he told me that he would give his life for me
Which didn't bode well considering this was our first mission
But I couldn't help blushing
I was so embarrassed much so that I almost went face first into a tree
We just laughed
As we approached the border the trees receded
We had to walk the rest of the way
We walked for about five minutes
Sasuke said "can you see that in the distance those three dots"
"They're probably just birds"
"Hold my hand"
I just ignored him the first time
I thought he was just kidding around
He grabbed my hand and said
"Hinata, I Love You"
As he said these soft words a shuriken swerved past our entwined hands
With immediate reactions we both jumped away from each other
Me taking cover behind some rocks
And Sasuke charging towards the three dots which turned out to be the ninja we were
after
They were dressed in long black cloaks
Not like the Akatsuki ones but very similar
Sasuke arced over the ninja in front and slash with his tanto
As soon as he landed he sheathed with style
With the technique that I had taught him
He hit the chakra points down the left side of one ninja
And the right side of the other
He both fell
He finished them off with a couple of stabs
Amazing
He turned and walked back towards the trees
"We have to celebrate just you and me"
