Disclaimer: I don't own the book Hunger Games, I merely based the poem off of it.

District Lines

Here I lie in District 13

I wonder if you think of me like I do you

If you know of the horrors my eyes have seen

The nightmares that seem to haunt me

I'm safe, I'm fine but are you?

Are you lying awake also thinking of me?

If I don't find out soon I won't pull through

The concern, It over whelms me

You're back, you're here

I open my arms for an embrace

but what I'm met with induces fear

Your fingers clasp my neck, eyes cold

You're no longer the Peeta I used to know

Do you still remember me?

Where there once was love there is now loathe

I learn to keep my distance now

I lose hope in finding an antidote

They say you've been hijacked

All that we had is now just a lost anecdote

A memory it seems only I know

You ask to see me one day

You tell me you remember the bread

A memory I always keep on replay

It is you I have to thank

You consider yourself a monster now

You seem to have alternate personalities

It's okay though I will always love you, that's my vow

In the end it's just you and me, and it's perfect

* Thank you for reading I'm not one for poetry, it was a class assignment and I decided to upload it xP.
