A/N: not the longest thing ever, lol. I was watching PotC for the
second……. third time? Second. Yeah, anyway, I noticed Jack's face at the
end, and he just looked so sad. As it said in the summary, this is mostly
Jack's goodbyes, and his sentiment for his comrades. If you feel slightly
depressed after reading this, drop me a review, I have some good news for
you. Promise, it'll make everyone happy.(

"This, ladies and gentlemen, will always be the day that you will remember as the day you almost~" I fell off the building
I knew what they were thinking. That daft Jack. That crazy pirate. That didn't sting. The water didn't either as I crashed through it. Seeing the Pearl……. was a bittersweet feeling. I had that choking feeling in my throat as I swam against the current, and I doubted it was the workout that was making me feel sick.
Elizabeth. I was actually having hopes for a while, nice ass. Nice peeps. Big hair though, especially when she did it all up houghty-toughty like. No doubt she thought it was just another Jack moment when I looked at her and quietly said, "Sorry, love, it would never had worked out between us." She skipped over the pain in my eyes, they were misting for crissake. She was probably thinking, Ha, silly Jack, he never quits, now back to Fido the Blacksmith. Feh, and women say I'm heartless.
And Bootstrap's kid. The classic dashing hero; the good guy. I took in a bit of seawater as I laughed a bit. Chivalrous to the end Bill, you saw to that. Too bad you and your kid missed the "knight in shining armor" ages.
Anamaria and Codley hoisted me up onto the ship all quite like. Even when I smiled at them, they seemed to avert my gaze. Fine welcoming party, Gibbs didn't even bring out any booze. Yesh.
Anamaria said something as I sauntered over to the wheel, but I didn't catch it. Didn't care to. It was like an emotional overload. I was happy, I had my Pearl back, the ship of dreams. On the other hand, the people that I had grown attached to where on that shore, probably watching me getting ready to set sail. Either that or sucking each others' lips off.
Feh, the second one was more likely.
"Whatcha you scallywags lookin' at?" I barked. Hey, I was in charge now; felt good to give the orders. Not sexy good like it used to, now it screwed up my stomach into knots. I'd probably just grown too soft.
"Bring me that horizon," I whispered as my crew scuttled about. I hummed slightly to myself, the yo-ho song, and I coulda actually sung, but other words were crossing my mind. Hurry up mates; Will, Liz, come on, jump on the boat. I-I miss you guys already.
"And really bad eggs."
See the pyramids along the Nile
Watch the sun rise from the tropic isle
Just remember that all the while
You belong to me
See the market place of old Angier's
Send me photographs and souvenirs
Just remember that when dreams appear
You belong to me
And I'll be so alone without you
Maybe you'll be lonesome too
Fly the ocean in a silver plane
See the jungle when it's wet with rain
Just remember till your home again
You belong to me
And I'll be so alone with you
Maybe you'll be lonesome too
