My Love for You is Strong

Now I'm the one today,
I have never loved this way.
You calm me easily,
You make me laugh,
You hold me steadily,
You are my other half.
This may sound ridiculous,
This may be insane,
I hope you can be perspicacious,
But to leave you would cause great pain.
I may love to joke and fool,
With that smirk upon my face,
But once you take control,
I seem to loose my pace.
When your lips trail across my neck,
With your arms around me tight,
You turn me into a silent wreck,
Crying, for I cannot hold any spite.
Your kiss leaves me frozen,
Though, you may not know this,
It's hard to believe I was chosen,
My urges for you get so hard to resist.
Of all the ones you could have choose,
How I wonder the choice was me,
I never really could have supposed,
I could just get you for free.
This is a bit of a long poem for me. I wrote it for my boyfriend for his birthday. :)
He liked it. And yeah... tell me what you think.
